We’re looking for an outstanding, experienced social strategist to join the Digitas Melbourne team as our social lead on the Fiat-Chrysler account. Agency and/or automobile industry experience is preferred but not essential.

 

What you’ll do:  

You’ll live at the intersection of social, content, media, creative and analytics, working with specialist teams to deliver data-informed, cross-channel optimized strategies.

 

Supported by a social media manager, community manager and paid social specialist, you’ll produce social recommendations and content designed to achieve business and brand objectives, delivering measurable ROI.

 

Confidence in managing the client relationship is a must, as you will be the key social contact, liaising daily with the client to work collaboratively and manage approvals.

 

Day-to-day, your role includes:

  • Producing and presenting in-depth, data-led always on and campaign social strategies for our key client, Fiat-Chrysler
  • Bringing them to life by briefing our creative team and social media manager to produce and source on-brand, scroll-stopping social content
  • Owning a monthly content calendar, covering multiple brands across a range of platforms and managing the approvals process with client stakeholders
  • Working closely with our paid social manager to ensure campaigns are implemented as per the strategy and meeting objectives, delivering reports and insights designed to continually optimize activity
  • Overseeing community management and social customer care, implementing best practice strategies, social listening and crises management to ensure public reaction is gauged and escalated where required
  • Providing on-the-ground event support, coordinating content shoots and producing, publishing and amplifying content in real-time
  • Proactively spotting trends in tech, culture, the social/content space and the auto industry that can be leveraged for brand content and activations

 

We’re looking for strong, impactful work experience, which typically includes:

  • 3-5 years of digital marketing experience, with an emphasis on social media and or/content development for major clients
  • Experience in the auto industry not essential, but preferred
  • A strong understanding of media planning, distribution and content syndication
  • Superb experience leading creative thinking in the digital space: content, media, social and activation
  • The ability to develop strong relationships with client teams
  • Experience with a range of social tools – you’ll know how to create ads on Facebook Business manager, understand social listening, content management systems etc. Salesforce experience is a big plus
  • A nose for new technology, new content solutions, social media events and developments—plus a strong connection with entertainment, pop culture (and the auto industry – preferred but not essential)
  • An ear for consumer insights—you get what makes people tick
  • The ability to back up great creative ideas with sound analytical reasoning
  • A strong, up-to-date point of view on digital media, social channels and content platforms and up and coming partners, practices and initiatives
  • Exceptional presentation skills —when you speak with clients, they listen
  • Willingness to travel and work the odd weekend (you’ll be where the event is)
