Job Description

Role Responsibility:

  • To lead strategic planning excellence in all that we do for our client.
     
  • To ensure operational excellence across all business touchpoints, including both direct and indirect reports.
     
  • To be responsible for delivering an excellent service and end-product for our client which aims to exceed client expectations.
     
  •  To ensure best-in-class team and client leadership, ensuring best possible client output with focus on client growth & retention.
     
  • To be ultimately responsible for the health and success of the client business of concern.

Main Tasks: 

1) Knowledge

  • Strategically sound, with proven track record of effective planning leadership.
     
  • Possess commercial awareness and demonstrate business acumen and an understanding of the agency operations.
     
  • Be current on systems applications and updates.
     
  • Conduct all business relationships in an efficient, courteous and straightforward manner and be able to resolve any issues in a consistent, fair and objective manner.
     
  • Possess thorough client knowledge – also client’s market and competitors information. 
     
  • Understand clients overall business and marketing objectives displaying a sound knowledge of all media, spanning traditional and digital media.

2) Skills

  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills, strong on numeracy literacy and accuracy.
     
  • Possess sound financial management skills i.e. knowledge /comprehension of financial and business aspects of both Publicis Media and client companies.
     
  • People management skills and constructive feedback delivering ability.
     
  • Have breadth and depth of experience and tangibly demonstrate this in all aspects of your work.
     
  • Ability to manage multiple subordinates while delivering against multiple work streams.

3) Product

  • To continuously deliver up-to-date client media strategies using Starcom’s proprietary planning framework.
     
  • To take active part in new business pitches and provide insightful and comprehensive communications solutions as and when required to do so.
     
  • To ensure internal & external marketing of the agency's work in the regional and international awards. 
     
  • To proactively lead the overall communication planning/implementation planning process to provide insightful communications plans.
4) People
  • To manage the team day to day acting as a mentor to junior employees.  Conduct annual and interim appraisals of team members in a thorough and professional manner on or immediately prior to the date on which they are due as per the appraisal cycle defined by the T&T department.
     
  • Be able to manage and motivate employees, clients and suppliers.
     
  • To deal with people issues promptly working in conjunction with the Talent team to ensure fairness and consistency.
     
  • Be a confidante for clients, media owners and junior / senior staff.
     
  • Responsible for the day to day workings of the client team offering support, training and insight to team members.
5) Operations
  • To work with the Investment teams to promote your clients’ interests with strategically important media owners.
     
  • To work with the Investment teams to promote your clients’ interests with strategically important media owners.
     
  • To deliver diversified services revenue goals of the company.
     
  • To ensure efficient approvals/billing process on individual accounts, as well as help manage receivables / billables with finance teams on a weekly basis.
 

Qualifications

  • 10 Years+ Media Experience. 
     
  • 2-3+ Years in account leadership role.
     
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously.
     
  • Ability to manage large team of 8 direct reports & multiple indirect reports.
     
  • A natural leader who is able to inspire best-in-class work from his/her team.
     
  • A strong client leader who is able to build a positive client relationship, built on a foundation of trust & respect.
