Graduate Media Planning Account Executive

Job Description

This role will see you take cut your teeth across a number of DR and performance-led clients, including the highly successful Neilson Financial Services, as well as be involved in new business teams as and when applicable. We are looking for someone with a great self-starter attitude who wants to understand and learn how the media planned drives actual sales results in the short, medium and long term.

The ideal candidate will be analytical and driven to deliver results while being able to help the Senior Account Executive and Account Director on the team put recommendations to clients with good story-telling and leadership.

You will work within a fully integrated team, which includes all POE channels on all of your clients.

Team/Department Profile:

The Starcom planning department incorporates clients such as P&O Ferries, Samsung, Lidl, FCA, Visa, PUIG, Kraft Heinz & Saga.  Recent new business wins and organic growth from a number of clients has resulted in the continual growth of the planning team and therefore the need to recruit a new Account Manager to support the performance team, primarily across NFS, but also other clients as and when required.

 

The performance team oversees the majority of clients that work towards a clear set of targets/KPIs.  The quality of planning, coupled with the delivery of media execution more often than not will directly impact the goals of the clients business i.e. monthly sales target, Cost per Sale or ROI.  With that in mind planning is a lot more scientific with all results and performance heavily analysed in order to influence future activity

 

The Clients:

NFS

·       We have worked with NFS for a number of years and have been instrumental partner to grow the business to where it is today.

·       NFS have two active life insurance brands in the UK:

o   SMART – Family life insurance

o   British Seniors Insurance Agency – specialising in over 50s life insurance          

·       NFS are also looking to launch more new brands in the UK in 2020

·       We are consistently look to improve the quality of our strategic responses in-line with their performance acquisition campaigns

·       With a small marketing team at NFS, we are an extension of their in-house function but also work with their other agencies across creative and DM to deliver success

·       The role would see you take main day to day account leadership.  Managing the delivery and output across a number of internal and external teams

 

Responsibilities:

·       Assist the planning process from client brief to PCA

·       Ensure high quality of insights from data to inform the next campaigns

·       Work with the Account Director and Account Executive on the team to drive results for your clients

·       Planning campaigns across a range of KPIS

·       Uncovering insights to drive business results

·       Have strong analytical skills

·       Developing relationships with your clients, ensuing you understand their business needs and media objectives

 

Key requirements/experience:

 

An energetic person who may have started their career already looking to take the next step to hone their planning and account skills. They need to have the passion to deliver and help the wider team drive business results across a fantastic blend of clients.

We are looking for someone who wants to learn and understand DR and performance planning and has a strong eye for numbers or preferably someone that already has performance experience. The right candidate should relish to chance to work as part of a flexible team and have a desire to challenge and learn.

Ideally you will understand the value and importance of accurate data, strong evidence-based recommendations and that client’s rely on you and the agency to give them the best results. You will have a passion for seeing the impact media has on business outcomes and have a genuine entrepreneurial spirit.
