The Audience, Analytics and Insights (AAI) Team is a unique end-to-end cross-capability data team that ensures we are putting data at the heart of everything we do for Samsung.  Our insights specialists blend quantitative analysis, qualitative research, and storytelling to creatively communicate a unique a view of our consumers and competitive opportunities to our strategists and media planners.  Our audience and data strategists ensure the ability to action our strategic recommendations in digital whilst building valuable data assets and integrations so we can reach consumers on the right channel at the right time.  Lastly, our analytics and data scientists ensure we are measuring and optimising the metrics that matter whilst driving a meaningful test and learn agenda.

What you’ll do in this role:

As Manager of Audience and Data Strategy, you will be tasked with helping Samsung UK improve their use of data in marketing activities across the consumer journey. You will work alongside an Associate Director and a globally distributed team of experts in understanding client objectives, creatively solving for data solutions, building and delivering data capabilities. Your expertise activating audiences, mapping consumer journeys, integrating marketing technology solutions, and using DMPs / DSPs will make you a key member of this team. You will build relationships with clients, earning their trust with your consistent delivery and creative thinking.

As part of the Audience and Data Strategy workstream, you will work alongside a globally distributed team of DMP experts, focused on capturing data and creating audiences for Samsung UK. This is a collaborative role working alongside the media strategist and planners to identify ways to better deliver media based on insightful data analysis. You will be expected to establish relationship with client managers, delivering value by delivering data capabilities and offerings for activation across media channels.

  • Deliver cutting edge work across four data workstreams – marketing technology consulting, audience strategy, DMP and audience management, audience insights
  • Contribute to the data strategy and roadmap to ensure we are increasing 1st party data capture, identifying key data partnerships, and purchasing the valuable 3rd party data
  • Work directly with the other capability leads to ensure data led thinking is consistently used throughout the team
  • Management of test and learn roadmap for segment definition
  • Form a real understanding of clients’ consumers, business, products and challenges, to articulate, position and implement data driven strategic and optimization plans for the client
  • Partner with key team members across Starcom Media Planning, Activation, and Strategy Teams. Also partner with creative and CRM agencies

Skills/Requirements

  • The ability to solve a multitude of problems  by leveraging deep knowledge and experience in data and media
  • Expertise and hands on experience using Data Management Platforms , ideally Adobe Audience Manager
  • Technical understanding of how data flows across systems (web analytics, DMP, media analytics, etc)
  • Expertise in cross-channel media measurement and strategy including both on and offline channels
  • Capable of translating complex data sets into insights
  • Able to present complicated data insights and strategic recommendations  in a client facing manner  and teach others to do the same
  • Experience working with clients to help them achieve marketing success fueled by data
  • Confidence to challenge the client and team and to ensure delivery on marketing metrics that drive to business outcome
  • Brilliant client service, and fostering that culture within your team to ensure smooth delivery across what is a complex piece of business

Qualifications

Additional:

  • Experience with DMPs (ideally Adobe Audience Manager), DSPs, Facebook Ads Manager, or other audience management and buying platforms
  • Knowledgable in Google Analytics, Adobe Analysitcs, and tag managers
  • Experience dynamically delivering data-driven creative in either paid media (DCO) or website experiences (website optimization)
  • Nice to have experience with Google Marketing Plarform (DV360, Campaign Manager, Google Ads)
  • Strong Excel and familiarity with data visualization software is a plus (preferably DataStudio)
