Job Description

The client is a fast paced and highly rewarding account that will enable this Senior Planning Executive to work across a number of different, well known brands within the Confectionery, Beverages and Pet Food portfolio.

The planning team is made up of 12 communications planners and this Senior Planning Executive will work into a Planning Manager. With support, you will need to become a skilled planner able to translate target audiences, the role of communications and detailed knowledge of media channels into robust and innovative media plans.

Digital is at the heart of this clients business, and we are consistently striving to deliver plans that incorporate best in class digital thinking and innovation, often testing new approaches and formats available to market. As a core member of the planning team the candidate will work closely with the activation teams across TV, VOD, Display, Social Media, OOH and Audio, assisting in managing the planning process from start to finish.

Responsibilities:    

  • To support the Planning Manager in the day to day running of the account
  • Be the key point of contact for junior clients and client requests
  • Develop media strategy for the clients – with the support of your manager
  • Keep the clients abreast of competitive activity and spend and providing insight 
  • Developing sharp consumer insights to support the planning process
  • Being a champion in using tools (TGI, AdDynamix, Comscore etc) to support the team
  • Build strong relationship with implementation teams to facilitate smooth delivery of campaigns from planning to post campaign
  • Management of buying briefs and being in charge of the process required to sign off campaigns
  • Building insights and performance reviews during campaigns and delivering Post Campaign Analysis to your clients – with the support of your manager
  • Developing a strong working relationship with the clients’ wider inter-agency team  

Qualifications

Key requirements:

  • Media planning or buying experience
  • Knowledge of media planning tools (TGI, AdDynamix etc)
  • Previous experience in a client facing role or customer service role
  • Knowledge of Powerpoint and Excel
