The team

 

The planning team are our clients’ key contacts, their confidante on all aspects of the media strategy & media planning. As marketplace & media experts, they own the process & media plans from curation to execution & analysis, and must constantly think as the client does, and with a growth mind-set.

 

The client and the role

 

This is an exciting opportunity to work on one of the agencies largest accounts, Aviva. Zenith & Aviva have worked together for a number of years, with a great rapport between the team & the clients. The broad range of the account provides an opportunity to work with a wide selection of Zenith teams, client teams, partners and publishers.

Aviva is a fast paced and increasingly data heavy client and there is a constant challenge to use our data more effectively in our planning and buying. The client has high objectives and expectations on digital and is very much open to new technologies and formats as well as testing.

This role is hugely varied and offers an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to grow and learn, within a friendly and inclusive environment.

The Planning Executive is responsible for assisting the wider team in the successful delivery of an effective & efficient media plan, end to end, working with support teams across activation, insight, data science, and the client

Sitting within the planning team, they will touch new campaigns design & setup, audience & marketplace insight discovery, reporting & measurement and much more.

This role also has responsibility of a smaller client, UNIQLO. UNIQLO are a Japanese clothing brand with 13 UK stores (primarily in London). Their challenge is to cut through in a cluttered market, dominated by big high street chains (Zara, Topshop) as well as the online players (ASOS). Activity focuses around key seasonal peaks, and channel focus is on partnerships, press and social. Working on both UNIQLO and Aviva creates a unique opportunity to understand two different categories, and a good balance of high level strategic thinking with fast-paced campaign activation.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

•       Own the overall media plan, with an holistic view of the role online/offline plays

•       Monitor campaign activity, and interpreting information/data/results

•       Investigate and distribute relevant facts/insights to the wider internal team and to Aviva and UNIQLO

•       Work with the partners both internal and external to explore new and different opportunities

•       Facilitate partners both internal and external to activate, monitor, optimise and report on campaign activity

•       Help arrange regular media owner meetings

•       Present key campaign findings/insight to the client

•       Ensuring that projects and deliverables are met on time to the highest standard

•       Test and learn new platforms and media opportunities

Qualifications

Professional skills & requirements

 

•       Excellent Communication skills (written and oral) with experience in presenting

•       Numerate

•       A clear passion for learning and going the extra mile, way beyond the comfort zone

•       High Attention to Detail

•       Excellent at Excel

•       Good in PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office programs

•       Very personable

•       Logical – finds it easy to problem solve

•       Proven experience in media at the Senior Executive level, and examples of skillset in practice (case studies)
