Job Description

The Senior Art Director works with Design Directors and Copywriters to lead creative teams from concept to development in all marketing initiatives, while also showing some of the qualities that make a strong Associate Creative Director. Projects may include video production, websites, online advertising, kiosks, digital signage, online demos, radio scripts, television commercials, print ads and more.

Qualifications

 

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with CD to raise the level of work across the whole team

  • Immediately engage the Media team to blur the lines of the Media and Creative Departments

  • Anticipate and address strategic and creative obstacles and provide possible solutions

  • Think bigger

  • Integrate with Copywriters and Design Directors to develop intelligent creative solutions that amplify our brands’ personalities and messaging.

  • Gather information from media, research, and trend spotters to create an appropriate style and visual expression for product or a service and

  • Deliver presentations to senior creative personnel and clients

  • Remain current on industry and technology trends. Create and maintain a high energy level throughout the creative department

  • Maintain an effective team structure and provide guidance on roles and responsibilities

  • Review all production development work for accuracy before final production

  • Supervise all 3rd party/vendor creative production

  • Identify and recommend use of outside production facility

  • Must have a strong online portfolio, candidates will not be considered without one

Job Requirements

May require overnight travel up to 10%

 

Education Required

Bachelor’s degree

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies

  • Should have knowledge and experience in performing on a variety of consumer, industrial, corporate and institutional advertising assignments within digital and traditional marketing

  • Must have experience directing and mentoring junior creatives

  • Demonstrable strategic marketing thinking and independent work ethic

  • The ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects and to adjust to inevitable changes in timelines, deadlines, and project goals
