Job Description

Overview:
We’re looking for an experienced and hungry emerging leader.  The ideal candidate will have experience or interest in digital and traditional planning and buying.  While we place significant value on skills and aptitude, we are also simply looking for good humans.  Someone who will thrive in a fast pace, performance marketing environment and bring a smile to the office.  

 Responsibilities:
•    Day to day development and stewardship of omnichannel media plans
•    Coordination with activation teams on the production of strategic tactical work
•    Liaise with the vendor and sales rep community to identify new opportunities and develop POVs that can be shared across the team and agency 
•    Lead team status and follow-up on key workstreams 
•    Develop buy specs and guidelines that exceed planning goals and partner across the team to ensure those goals are achieved 
•    Build and maintain flowcharts and omnichannel budgets 
•    Partner with our analytics team to accurately reflect planned and actuals data to third parties including but not limited to a media mix vendor 
•    Use syndicated research and first party data to draw insights on plan performance and strategy work
•    Demonstrate independent decision making while also knowing when it’s time to raise a concern or flag an opportunity

Management/Supervisory Responsibilities:
You’ll be asked to laterally manage peers on projects and directly manage assistant planners and media trainees.  

Communicates With:
Internal:  Partners with Strategy team members, Strategic Resources, Activation Groups, and Finance 
External:  Clients and vendor community.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree
2+ year’s media planning experience (agency environment) across all types of media 

Business Competencies:
•    Computer Skills: Microsoft Suite, Kantar Software, IMS, Software Skills, Flowchart Software, Comscore
•    Analytical, curious mindset
•    Proficiency in oral and written communications
•    Understanding of Activation/Negotiation team functions
•    Possess a basic knowledge of strengths and weaknesses of each media type
