Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Strategy Manager’s primary role is to develop targeted media plans to best allocate the advertising budget, creating data-driven plans across multiple channels (video, print, OOH, linear TV). At least two years of media strategy or investment experience is required. Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must for this client-facing role. 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
• Analyze the various media alternatives and make recommendations as to how to best allocate the advertising budget
• Work with agency partners to create media plans that integrate appropriate media channels: Print, OOH, Linear TV and OLV 
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of client businesses (products, target audience, sales prospects, sales trends, competition)
• Identify key deliverables and lead development of media recommendations based on a clear understanding of the client objectives, collaborating with activation to ensure seamless execution of the media plan
• Speaks to all elements of the media plan intelligently with clients and integrated agency partners (from partners to tactical elements)
• Work with clients to determine objectives and success metrics of campaigns
• Interact/communicate frequently with clients (meetings, written, presentations)
• Attend weekly status meetings, present recommendations, and manage follow-up of items discussed
• Maintain communication/integration with multiple agency partners (creative, account, media investment, analytics, ad operations)
• Manage workloads and projects
• Develop and manage media budgets by campaign; oversee and troubleshoot billing and budget accuracy
• Manage and mentor Strategy Associate(s) on career development

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS

• At least 2 years’ experience in Media Strategy/Investment with understanding of media skills (concepts, terminology, tools etc.)
• Must have experience working on brand and performance type campaigns.

• Knowledge or exposure to various media channels preferred: Prisma, MediaTools, ComScore, Kantar, MRI, etc.
• Four-year college degree, preferably in marketing, advertising or communications or equivalent work experience is required
• Collaborative team-player, able to manage many different personality types
• Ability to multitask, handling multiple projects and clients
• Able to effectively manage timelines and deliver timely and accurate feedback
• Good understanding National and Local Offline media as well as Digital.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Accountability and leadership skills
• Well-developed client-facing skills, able to direct meetings and make presentations
• Ambitious self-starter willing to learn
