Job Description

About the role

Langland looking for a talented Senior Finance Analyst to join our fast paced and dynamic team. The successful candidate must be enthusiastic and a self-starter with a passion for numbers and reporting. As a Senior Finance Analyst, you’ll have a varied role which will involve managing multiple stakeholders and working closely with the Finance Manager and Senior Commercial Controller at all times, so you’ll need to be proactive, thinking about future needs and keeping one step ahead.

Job Responsibilities and Critical Job Criteria:

 

Financial Expertise

  • Responsible for performing the day- to-day general ledger accounting and reconciliations.
  • Monitor and reconcile general ledger, providing accurate and complete analysis of the accounts.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close and for the preparation and analysis of the monthly financial reporting.
  • Assist with the Financial Reporting requirements package.
  • Perform Balance Sheet account reconciliations, account analysis, accrual calculations, and other related accounting documents/schedules.
  • Prepare and post journal entries.
  • Supports the month-end process and reporting cycles, producing relevant budgetary information.
  • Monitor compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Monitor agency expenses – support cost accrual.
  • Supports the client finance team in selectively gathering relevant financial information to analyse financial results.
  • Knowledge of regulatory environment and industry to develop and evaluate agency financial processes and controls.
  • Works with internal and external auditors - gathering and providing necessary information.

 

Client Relationship Expertise

Other duties (as required)

  • HFM entry and local P&L package preparation.
  • Reviewing billability with relevant department heads.
  • Revenue/costs variance explanations.
  • Ensuring that Inter-company invoices are appropriately processed.
  • Tracking of A/R and WIP balances.

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • You’ll have prior experience in a similar level position, operating at a Finance analyst level
  • We are ideally looking for experience of working within a marketing/advertising/creative agency or similar industry.
  • You will need to have a relevant finance or accountancy qualification.
  • You’ll be personable, well-spoken, engaging and have the ability to develop internal relationships and present with a powerful, persuasive style.
  • SAP, HFM (Oracle) and SmartView knowledge is desirable but not essential.
  • Advanced excel skills with lookup and pivot table knowledge.
