Job Description

Role:

This position would see you working on the day to day account management for Duracell.   You must be a confident comms planner, with an understanding of all media channels.  AV is a core channel for the client, so confidence and familiarity with this medium will be key – although all plans will include multiple channels.

We work very closely with the specialist activation teams, as well as the global Duracell account team, so we are looking for someone with excellent communication and relationship building skills that will enjoy working within a friendly, dynamic team.

The UK is Duracell’s largest market outside North America, and the strategy and planning for the UK is often shared as an example for other markets, although we are also always keen to learn from our colleagues in other markets too. 

The client wants to see an element of innovation on all media plans, and this is something that each member of the team contributes to.  We would expect the Account Manager to lead on sourcing new opportunities by speaking to activation teams, media owners and our Next Tech Now partners, to keep to up to date with the latest opportunities in market. 

As Manager you will be expected to lead with managing teams’ responses to brief, as well as the day to day implementation of campaigns as well as helping to develop the Account Executive on the team.

Qualifications

We are looking for a team player who is able to juggle client demands across various simultaneous work streams.  A positive, energetic and enthusiastic candidate, ready for a challenge and keen to get actively involved in all aspects of this client and agency life.

You will have good levels of knowledge of all media touchpoints, but digital and AV are key.  A knowledge of the challenges facing FMCG brands would be helpful, but is not a must. We are looking for solid experience within an account management and communications planning roles.

The ideal candidate needs to demonstrate excellent client handling skills, knowledge & proven ability across all media including digital media.  They should have a positive, “can-do” attitude, be capable of managing and delivering multiple projects (within deadlines) and stakeholders at one time and combined with a willingness to learn and continuously improve. They should be able to motivate their team members and be seen as the go-to mentor of direct reports and junior members of the team.  They should be comfortable in adapting to fast-changing environments and simultaneous client deliverables.
