Job Description

  • Role Responsibility:

To lead the day-to-day agency account team for the regional arm of a Top 5 advertiser.  Delivering the best possible media planning consultation to our clients, positioning Starcom as an invaluable business partner, dedicated to delivering growth for our partners. As an AD you will serve as the ‘face’ of Starcom on a day-to-day basis and the leader of the dedicated client account management team. You will oversee all elements of client work, and be the ultimate guardian of your client-agency business. It will be your job to lead strategic media planning, operational excellence, and best-in-class client service. You will be a leader of people and will be required to dedicate time & effort to growing your direct and indirect reportees to empower them to be the talent of the future.

  • Knowledge:
  1. Excellent grasp of communications strategy with a full understanding of how advertising works and key advertising principles
  2. Develop a full understanding of the agency's planning framework model (HX Model)
  3. Develop a  full understanding of clients’ business sales, competitors, customers, objectives
  4. Strong up to date understanding of: performance marketing, digital media, social media, mobile marketing, addressability, and advanced measurement models.
  5. Thorough knowledge of the media marketplace and opportunities available and build constructive relationships with key media owners where relevant.

  • Product:
  1. Digital Media experience with the ability to provide key strategic input on strategies, plans, and deliverables.
  2. Lead on all key campaign strategies
  3. Oversee the quality of work of the team to make ensure it delivers on the clients' objectives
  4. Ability to articulate and write specialist  Point-of-View documents
  5. Propose and implement the clients’ digital roadmap making sure it delivers on their business objectives
  • People:
  1. To monitor day to day output of the team, ensuring optimum delivery
  2. To provide on the job training and learning opportunities for members of your teams
  3. Achieve a good rapport with Publicis colleagues across all divisions, clients, other agencies and media owners
  • Operations:
  1. To undertake additional projects beyond client responsibilities as requested, e.g. help on new business, analysis for Regional offices
  2. To proactively manage clients' expectations

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of related media planning experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, and/or communications preferred.
  • Strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and math proficiency.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency with systems/tools.
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking and effective problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work efficiently and effectively within normal working hours, adhering to tight deadlines while delivering flawless work.
  • Extremely business-minded and detail-oriented, with clear and proven organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exude an energy level that brings new and exciting ideas and inspires teammates.
  • A positive, pro-active and ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Exhibit ambition through appropriate participation in team, agency, and industry initiatives
  • Demonstrate genuine curiosity and interest in our clients & their business
  • Digitally savvy, with specific proficiency at MS Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Full understanding of all paid social platforms (FB Business Manager, Twitter, Snapchat, LinkedIn).
  • Google certificates are preferred.
