Job Description

The SEO Manager will help build organic website traffic. The SEO Manager will collaborate with the Associate Director/Director in driving strategic SEO expertise within the team and in helping to develop innovative strategies to meet and exceed client business objective. They will be responsible for planning, optimizing, reporting and analyzing organic search engine marketing activities.

REQUIRED SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, the individual must have strong experience with technical SEO and have the ability to collaborate and deliver guidance to teams both internal and external. Candidate should be comfortable with an SEO savvy client.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required:

• 2-4 years of relevant technical SEO experience
• Familiarity and proficiency in HTML, CSS, and Javascript
• Able to communicate ideas around website architecture to the client and internal teams
• Able to provide POV and guidance to junior team member and client
• Strong command of search engine research and reporting resources
• Experience with tools such as, Omniture, Conductor, Lighthouse, and SEM Rush
• Strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and math proficiency
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving abilities
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities
• Collaborative approach/attitude
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and organize issues/projects for self 

• Develop and implement SEO strategies and tactics in line with client’s business objectives
• Develop insights to inform future optimizations and provide client with insights and optimization recommendations
• Contributing to new business pitches as needed
• Work with Associate Search Director to develop processes for improved work-flow within the performance team and across agency partners and vendors
• Manage analyst-level direct report
• Stay up-to-date on newest organic search, paid search and social media trends
• Research new ideas, trends, and technologies within the SEO space to educate clients and the performance team
• Explain SEO best practices in simple terms to educate the client and third party stakeholder
• Manage monthly SEO reporting (keyword rankings, SEO traffic, conversion data)
• Initiate and facilitate cross-team relationships to identify opportunities for cross-channel integration that drive increased value for clients and revenue for the agency
