Job Description

The Senior Associate, Media Planner will work cross-functionally with internal teams to develop and execute offline campaigns for a regional client. The ideal candidate for this position is a hands-on, proactive, self-starter with at least one year of experience in media planning and/or strategy with some experience in a local capacity preferred. This is a very collaborative and connected team dedicated to great client service as well as fostering an environment for professional growth for their team members.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with internal teams to successfully execute campaigns across TV, Radio, Print and OOH.
  • Work cross-functionally with investment & traffic teams to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met
  • Organize data to identify demographics, behaviors, lifestyles and media habits to determine insights and build reports based on those insights.
  • Understand the audience and help prepare outline and content for presentations.
  • Create and deliver post-buy analysis
  • Establish timelines for projects, deliver milestones on time and accurately while effectively servicing clients.
  • Provides and conducts all necessary training and development to assigned associate; Includes Planning, Operational tasks, general management of strategy/client requests and systems and tools.
  • Holds weekly or bi-weekly status updates with assigned associate to discuss the prioritization of workload to ensure deadlines are met and to ensure flawless execution
  • Manage tactical planning work with associate to select media vehicles, mapping and negotiating using various planning platforms
  • Ensures all work for assigned clients is completed accurately by his/her associate by reviewing all appropriate work, including cost exercises, draft billing reporting, general reporting and decks
  • Takes the lead in responding to majority of emails/requests from investment teams and delegates those that are appropriate for an associate to respond to
  • Manage budgets to make sure the money is going to the right place, and that it’s not being overspent in any one area
  • Develop and deliver professional media presentations and documentation that is client ready

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertisement, Communications or related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in media planning or strategy
  • Integrated media experience preferred
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Self-starter, ability to handle large amounts of data, hands on, organization skills
