Job Description

Perform media buying activities across all mediums and provide accurate reporting and investment services to both Investment and Business Management teams.

  • Deliver highly competitive rates across all media outside of master media deals (speak to other AMs for benchmarks)
  • Must have total knowledge and understanding of client media contracts and implement all aspects correctly
  • Present proactive, relevant media opportunities to client at planning stage and continuously throughout the year
  • Provide client with latest market intelligence relevant to their business on a regular basis - e.g. email client weekly of a top rating program that they have bought into, create hype and excitement around each campaign
  • Ensure media post reports are completed 1-week after all consolidated data for burst arrives and results are presented to the team including learnings.
  • Must provide full campaign post report including media learning's and strategic insights
  • Apply learning's from previous campaigns in all relevant reports i.e. Annual Competitive / Full campaign post etc.
  • Complete monthly competitive with true insights and learning's
  • Responsible that all reports are executed correctly and in agreed time
  • Investment planning and implementation
  • Investment delivery and management
  • Campaign management and optimisation
  • Financial Management
  • Ensure that campaign spend does not exceed planned costs

Qualifications

  • Must have strong internal relationships, able to cooperate and work effectively with others towards optimal client solutions. AM’s need to work with many specialists across the business e.g. investment/search/strategy, therefore being able to work effectively with everyone is very important
  • Capable of making decisions in high pressure situations.
  • Solution focused and strives to seek outcomes that are positive for all parties.
  • Able to confidently and efficiently manage priorities for themselves and the team
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Must be able to present to clients (and in other forums) to group of circa 10+ people, and/or equivalent level of authority
  • Develop and present detailed implementation, media recommendations, post analysis and competitive analysis
  • Incorporate market insight into trading, tracking and reporting of campaigns
  • Providing the business management team with market intelligence which would impact planning at campaign level
  • Effectively utilise all available tools to perform trading, reporting, research and analysis, such as: BCC, eTAM, ZOOM TV Optimiser, ZOOM Planning Tools, TARDIIS, eRAM, Asteroid, MOVE and Microsoft Office
  • Core digital tools include Nielsen Answer, Ad Relevance, Social Tools, Bench tools, Google Insights
  • Competent in all media buying and planning fundamentals
  • The position requires a relevant tertiary plus at least 2 years of relevant post-qualification work experience or a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Thorough understanding of all media channels and industry tools
  • Key Participant in developing strategic proposals for clients
  • Exceptional relationship building skills
