Job Description

This position is a publishing investment role that sits within the Starcom Publishing Center of Excellence and will provide the opportunity to learn the publishing investment process from start to finish. The Senior Associate supports all functions of Print planning and buying including:

  • Consideration Set Development
  • Print Negotiations
  • Assist with the development of print recommendations
  • Meets with vendors to stay up to date on offerings and capabilities
  • Stewards all print buys including Budget Management, Billing and Added Value execution
  • Complete annual circulation audits and other relevant post buys
  • Assist COE team with various POV’s and marketplace updates

This position has direct communication with Starcom strategy teams, the magazine vendor community and other planning or creative agencies (where applicable) with the potential for communication with clients. The position reports directly into a Supervisor as well as an Associate Director and VP, Director. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertisement, Communications or related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in media buying/planning
  • An interest in learning about magazine publishing
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Self-starter, ability to handle large amounts of data, hands on, organization skills
