Job Description

What You’ll Do
 
This position is perfect for a candidate who can build strong relationships with multiple teams, both within Starcom and with clients.  The Director will have many opportunities to extend beyond the current scope of this position and flex muscles in process development, systems and overall operational excellence, not only on the Lionsgate team, but across multiple Starcom clients.
 
 The Broadcast Investment Director will have direct client contact (media, brand, finance and procurement) and the larger Starcom team.  Clients are fair and the relationship is a good one.   Diplomacy and flexibility will be key strengths of the ideal candidate.  In addition, clients can be fairly detail oriented; expectations for strong organizational skills and attention to detail is high.

  • What we expect to find in an Director:
  • Leadership ability to manage and matrixed team within the agency and matrixed clients; confidence to lead brand clients whose focus is product marketing vs. Media' balancing competing priorities to manage projects successfully.
  • Skillful negotiator in the Video space, especially in National Television
  • Able to leverage marketplace relationships for the client’s good
  • Keep current on the pulse of changing marketplace conditions (audience, sales offerings, programming, etc.) and be able to make insightful recommendations to clients
  • Ability to adapt to change, nimbly manage challenges and make quick decisions
  • Provide oversight to National Video spend allocations
  • A minimum of 6-10 years of experience at a media agency or relevant firm
  • Entertainment experience is a must, preferably studio experience.
