Job Description

Overview:

Assist buyers with facilitating, maintaining and rectifying national broadcast buys across multiple day parts as well as assistant with various client projects

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Manage client's commercial inventory within the MBOX system including setting up packages, inputting inventory, managing changes and resolving all billing discrepancies and writing/sending order letters to networks and reading MIS reports

·         Provide assistance with pre-buy work including pulling research and gathering costs

·         Assist in network negotiations and analyzing network mixes

·         Assist in preparing presentation material

·         Work closely with traffic to ensure correct creative is running, report changes and resolve traffic issues

·         Closely track packages to ensure delivery and communicate with networks to make deals whole

·         Post out all national TV buys by resolving system issues, ensuring MBOX matches network MSAs, building post analysis documents for client as well as confirming all added value ran correctly

·         Manage various client requests such as ratings requests, help on POVs and competitive analyses

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with related coursework in advertising, marketing, and/or communications a plus
  • 0-1 year media planning/buying experience (internship strongly preferred)
  • Working understanding of media, research resources, and terminology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, good follow through, able to multi-task, and work well under tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Mastery of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Candidates should have a natural affinity for research, numbers, and analysis
  • Seeking candidate who is organized, self-sufficient, a problem solver, quick learner and team player
