Job Description

We are looking for someone who can come in and immediately make an impact. This will be both in terms of applying industry knowledge (and sharing this with the team) to manage key data measurement, tagging, trafficking, reporting, and partner relationships in order to drive campaign efficiency and develop leading technical expertise. You will be confident with clients and clear in delivering our agency point of view and recommendations.

The successful candidate will have a fully-rounded knowledge of digital ad serving, measurement, and associated technologies and partners.  In addition, the candidate must have data analysis experience and confidence working in Excel (advanced), Ad Servers and Tag Management Tools.

This role will manage the end-to-end Operations -> Optimization digital campaign process, including:

  • KPI creation and planning support using historical performance data

  • Campaign set up (naming, tagging, etc.)

  • Campaign execution (trafficking, etc.)

  • Escalation Point for any internal Technology questions/ issues/POV

  • Manage team reporting based upon client expectations

  • Build reporting views to support trafficking, analytics, and media planning teams

  • Manage digital campaign reporting deliverables and guide on insights

  • Discover efficiencies through data structure to create streamlined communication for planning and analytics insights.

The TAAG Operations, Data & Optimization Associate Director will perform the following duties on a day-to-day basis:

  • Guide the definition of the data structure (data elements and dimensions) for clients’ implementations of proprietary datamart & marketing analytics dashboard

  • Work with media team and analytics managers to ensure that KPIs are clearly defined for all digital marketing campaigns, and that data collection technology has been intelligently implanted to collect all relevant data

  • Direct digital buying teams on KPI & Measurement Technology practices during the inception of each digital campaign

  • Routinely provide insights & consultation to digital planning teams to ensure that all optimization opportunities are being taken advantage of

  • Maintain rigor & standardization in digital campaign management, including naming conventions, best practices, etc… to ensure that all necessary steps are taken on the front-end to facilitate timely & accurate digital reporting on the back end

  • Ensure that all tagging, data collection & operations activities are performed flawlessly and in accordance with campaign objectives and primary KPI(s)

  • Active participant in all campaign discussions regarding technology and operational issues

  • Understands vendor capabilities and strengths at a functional and service level in order to help provide insights & consultation to digital media teams in identifying technology opportunities and vendors

  • Responsible for all up-front communication regarding digital operations with internal and external partners including media teams, vendor partners and creative agency of record

  • Ongoing reporting monitoring to ensure that all partners adhere to naming convention rules necessary  to facilitate timely & accurate digital reporting

  • First line escalation point for any data governance, technical and reporting issues that require advanced QA/ troubleshooting for all aspects of digital ad operations campaign management

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have 6+ years’ experience working with trafficking systems, tagging tools and data mining / reporting functions in excel, or other similar tool

  • Specifically, candidate must have a good command of MS Excel, including formulas and tables, as these are heavily utilized in the creation of automation efficiencies in the reporting process

  • Technology experience is important (must have experience with standard ad servers i.e. DoubleClick Campaign Manager, Sizmek, Atlas, etc.)

  • Tagging experience is important (must have knowledge of and aptitude in conversion tags and tag management systems)

  • Candidate must have a strong attention to detail, and be able to quality check their work to ensure that data anomalies/mistakes are caught prior to delivery of the reports to the client teams

  • Candidate must have strong management capabilities, both operationally (to ensure that tasks such as reporting & trafficking are completed on time and accurately) as well as strategically (to ensure that guidance is given to all teams on how to enhance the product as the account matures)

  • Candidate must be outgoing and able to integrate with a fast-paced digital planning team

  • Must be able to cultivate excellent relationships with technology and research partners

  • Must have ability to learn new processes and technology quickly

  • Should be extremely detail-oriented
