Job Description

Overview:
This is a new, hybrid role on the strategy team that is a mix of communications planning and content strategy for a global account in the New York office.  He/she will be working across several brands contributing to the development of content activation opportunities with media partners, influencers and talent relevant to defined content strategy, providing strategic briefing and guiding creative approach.  If you are a self-starter ready for a new challenge, then apply now. 
 
Responsibilities:
•    Pull and maintain stewardship of reports including competitive reports using “Strategy” software to assess media budgets/schedules of competitors, interpret data and draw conclusions
•    Pull research through various tools (MRI/IMS, Stradegy) as well as additional industry trends/consumer research to identify opportunities and insights for brands
•    Aid the Supervisor and liaise with various Activation teams in the development of media strategy and recommendations
•    Prepare flowcharts and budgets for media plan using Excel, PowerPoint, and planning-specific software
•    Prepare and issue buying specs and guidelines to Activation teams such as GRP goals and budgets for use in negotiations
•    Review and verify media buys to ensure proper execution if buyers need assistance
•    Meet with sales reps to analyze value and applicability of media vehicles for client media plan

Qualifications

Requirements:
•    Bachelor’s Degree, along with 2+ years media planning experience (agency environment) across all types of media
•    Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills
•    Detail-oriented, good follow through, able to multi-task, and work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
•    Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
