Job Description

Role:

This is an exciting role within the Starcom Planning team working on Puig, one of Starcom’s newest clients.

Puig are a family owned fashion and fragrance business based in Spain.   They are growing quickly due to the success of brands like Paco Rabanne, which in the no 2 fragrance brand in the UK, and have ambitions to mirror these sales rankings globally.  With a wide portfolio of brands including the likes of Prada, Jean Paul Gaultier and Carolina Herrera, we are looking for someone organised, bright, creative, friendly and unafraid to challenge the client’s briefs to ensure we are delivering best in class work.  

You must be a confident planner and able to work across all media channels as you will have a large role in managing the planning and execution of Digital (OLV, Social, Programmatic & Display) , TV, OOH and Print activity. Our UK campaigns are regularly used as best practise for other Puig teams globally and are submitted for awards entries so there is plenty of opportunity to showcase great planning work and creative thinking.

As Associate Director you will own the day to day client relationship, get to know all there is to know about the client's business and make sure the team deliver on their promises. You’ll be comfortable challenging the client, defending the work and proposing new and innovative solutions to briefs.

You will work in a tight knit team where you will manage two AMs and report into the Business Director.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • A deep and thorough knowledge of UK media landscape covering all media channels.
  • Responsibility for leading strategic development and implementation across all paid owned, and earned channels, including a forensic knowledge of and enthusiasm for digital.  The UK planning team is expected to be experts in the channel. 
  • Developing strong relationships with all senior clients, ensuring you understand and shape their business and communications objectives
  • Developing strong relationships with all Starcom department heads to deliver integrated, insight-driven strategies for our clients
  • Excellent numeracy and attention to detail.  Ability to handle data and information and get to the right answer fast
  • Working with media owners, creative agencies and other partners to deliver inspiring launch ideas and award winning work
  • Highly organised individual – we have a large portfolio of brands to manage and there are often multiple campaigns live at the same time as well as managing any requests from the Global team.   Strong project management skills are needed to ensure that work is delivered accurately and on time.

We need someone who will build and maintain strong and effective relationships with clients, media owners and the wider Starcom team. Somebody with a strategic and creative mind who can help our clients navigate the complexity of the current communications landscape.

The successful candidate should be energetic and have natural curiosity, and they will be instrumental in growing the accounts and exporting best practice throughout the Publicis network.

An individual with a strong analytical and inquisitive mind is required.    

The ability to lead and inspire a team is essential, and the power to build trusted senior client relationships is critical.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for the management some of our brightest young talent so will need to show a passion for developing others.
