Job Description

The Operations Manager is an integral role within the Zenith team, responsible for monitoring and building internal operational processes throughout the account. The Operations Manager will also be responsible for monitoring and enhancing a new reporting tool used heavily throughout the account. Data integrity is of upmost importance for the success of this new tool and client relations so a keen eye for detail and forward thinking are the key attributes required for this role.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work alongside the planning, investment, operations, finance, and reconciliation teams to aid with the end-to-end financial management process inclusive of budget authorization, client billing, supplier invoice reconciliation and payment, and compliance with internal/external audit requirements.
  • Partner with Planning, Finance and Procurement teams to deliver financial reporting and tracking (e.g. monthly analysis of planned vs. actual spend, delivery reporting, etc.)
  • Manage the tools, systems, and process that enable sound financial operations including planning/investment team support/training
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and groups, facilitating synergy between the planning and activation functions that manage day-to-day client business
  • Drive a culture of ‘always on’ data driven decision making that will institutionalize the use of consumer-driven analytics in media / marketing investment planning
  • Ensure that the deliverables are designed to answer valuable client and media team questions, and that timelines and scope are adhered to

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in data management and/or media planning/ buying
  • Have functional understanding of data management tools (Excel, Tableau, Power BI, etc.), planning tools (MediaTools, Lumina), buying tools (MediaOcean) and media industry processes
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills – demonstrated ability to mine data for relevant and actionable insights
  • Solid written and verbal communication skill with ability to communicate/translate complex concepts to non-technical audience
  • Understanding and experience with media planning and/or buying, KPI development and technology practices during campaign planning and execution
  • Demonstrated experience with managing client requests, develop client reporting  and manage internal stakeholders
  • Must have demonstrable quantitative skills and the ability to roll up sleeves and dig into the numbers when necessary
  • Candidate must have a strong attention to detail, and be able to quality check their teams’ work to ensure that data anomalies/mistakes are caught prior to delivery of the analysis to the client teams
  • Candidate must have strong operational capabilities, able to ensure that guidance is given to all teams on how to enhance the processes as the account matures
  • Candidate must be outgoing and able to integrate with a fast-paced Planning and Activation teams
  • Experience with MediaTools and/or Lumina, strong Excel skills (formulas, macros)
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Hands on, problem solving abilities – “can do” approach (someone who is a thinker and a doer)
