Job Description

Role:

Commerce is a category that is full of innovation and with the pace that the retailer landscape is changing this is an incredibly exciting time to be working in commerce. All brands have different challenges in this space depending on their distribution models, internal structure or consumer behaviours; our role as media partners is to help brands navigate this complexity and provide incredible consumer experiences that drive genuine commercial growth. Our focus wherever possible is in delivering actionable insight that is born of good data.

There is a real focus within Publicis Groupe to develop a strong commerce proposition which we can take to our existing and prospective clients; there are strong pockets of expertise with the group and the challenge is working through what combination of resource is required to deliver on specific client briefs. We work closely with the wider Publicis Media Commerce practice to productise our approach and standardise solutions for clients, whilst benefitting from a very diverse set of people expertise and products.

We are continuing to develop solutions around four pillars:

This role will play a key role in delivering on the Media & Measurements solutions for our top clients, ultimately responsible for driving the performance of our key clients through their retail partners. You will become an expert in retail and marketplace solutions with the UK and consult on Global opportunities, working closely with partners to extract the maximum value of retail relationships for our clients. You will be eager to understand the complexities of the retail environment and be a go to for our clients for advice.

Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • To support and drive strategies for clients to maximise performance with retailer.com partners.

  • Responsible for building retailer.com sales plans and forecasting based on performance.

  • Work closely with the media planning teams to develop new initiatives to grow the client's retailer business through special programmes, media acquisition and retention initiatives.

  • Present and feedback on retailer.com performance and the strength of media opportunities to the client in the regular trade meetings/monthly meetings, taking ownership of sales driving actions.

  • Own and develop strong working relationships with clients and online retailer.com teams. Regularly schedule and lead retailer.com meetings to drive business and maintain commercial relationships.

  • Inspire internal stakeholders on the importance of commerce, coach teams on new commerce developments as well as ad-hoc training sessions to allow the wider teams to develop capabilities.

  • Manage collaboration with external partners where necessary, building productive working relationships whilst keeping an eye on new opportunities.

  • Maximising retail media effectiveness by ensuring client product pages on retail.com adhere to standard, with messaging consistent throughout the media to conversion journey.

Qualifications

  1. Experience:

    • 3 years ecommerce experience in a digital retail environment. Performance Marketing and Digital Merchandising experience is welcome, but not essential.

    • Strong understanding in digital analytics a must.

    • Understanding of the broader Amazon Advertising ecosystem is desirable.

    • Keen interest retail and and keeping up with fast paced updates and new solutions.

    • Must have advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills and be comfortable presenting to a variety of stakeholders at multiple levels. 

    • Behaviours:

    • Strong communication skills and strategically focused, with the ability to distill complex ecommerce concepts into simple-to-understand layman terms as necessary for clients.

    • Analytical, with a focus on driving commercial return and spotting opportunities in data from a variety of sources.

    • Be somebody who can excel in a fast-paced, multi-client environment requiring a blend of technical, analytical and commercial knowledge. Comfortable with ambiguity and excellent at problem-solving.

    • Be hungry to learn new things, explore new topics and share with a wider audience.

    • Not be afraid to take ownership for projects. Get involved and step into the detail when necessary
