Job Description

The Associate Media Director of Digital Investment will assist in leading overarching Digital Investment and Strategic Initiatives, build and foster key client relationships for a high profile automotive client.  Furthermore, the Associate Media Director will  lead their team in the tactical development and execution of digital investment best practices across all digital channels.  The ideal candidate will be a thoughtful decision maker who loves data and has the proven ability to lead strategic planning and buying initiatives including deck writing and presentation, budget and channel allocation and audience development. 

Must-haves include over 5 years of relevant media experience across multiple digital channels with at least 2 full years of team leadership experience.  This is an energetic, supportive and collaborative team that manages a partnership-driven client and fosters an environment of respect, learning and development.

 Responsibilities:

  • Act as digital media expert to internal and external stakeholders: Identify, develop and deliver high-value interactive and magazine strategies, value proposition, competitive advantage, ROI analysis and market research findings to clients
  • Write and deliver media strategies and oversee the translation of these strategies into the final media recommendations/plans
  • Build, maintain and grow client relationships and client business
  • Analyze client’s strategies to lead business case development
  • Build and maintain relationships with media publishers and internal agency counterparts
  • Command a comprehensive understanding of marketing communications which can be effectively translated into developing media goals, objectives, and strategies
  • Motivate and manage Interactive and Magazine team in the creation, development and execution of marketing strategies, solutions, tactics and programs
  • Facilitate team building through collaborative management style, open communication and focused project management to assure that assignments are executed in a timely manner
  • Ensure team delivers upon objectives within budget and time parameters
  • Support VP/SVP in managing account profitability; identify, assess, and implement strategic organizational capabilities and partner initiatives in a profitable manner
  • Demonstrate problem solving and intervention when necessary
  • Understand Agency business objectives above and beyond client role by actively participating in cross agency projects
  • i.e. Taskforces that strengthen media discipline

  • 5+ years Digital Investment and Strategy experience, preferably from a media agency environment 
  • Experience across multiple digital channels (display, paid social, programmatic, shopper) 
  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • Strong background in interactive work: DSPs, DMPs, Mobile innovations, OLV cross screen, data and analytics, etc… 
  • Experience in an agency environment
  • Track record of building successful client relationships
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically
  • Must be a self-starter who works well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Proven ability to interact with people at all levels of an organization, fostering strong cross-functional teamwork and result
  • Significant experience in a service, delivery and/or customer focused organization is required
  • Must have demonstrated ability to gets things done through 'un-owned’ resources
  • Must have outstanding motivational and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to delivering creative solutions, and the ability to align team members behind creative solutions
