Job Description

The Associate Media Director, Local Investment is responsible for executing strategies including negotiating scatter needs, analyzing the need for implementing allocation and billing tools to facilitate smooth transition from buy to air. They act as a client partner externally and as the internal Planning/Investment liaison.  

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
• Thought Leadership
• Partner with Media Director to prepare all reports
• Actively aid in Audit
• Review schedules and ensure posts prepared by Investment team are compliant
• Build relationships with clients
• Participate in client meetings and status
• Help prepare semi-annual state of industry reports & planning costs & marketplace trends.
• Find ways to increase productivity on monthly basis
• Build relationships with senior management in vendor community
• Prepare client ready POVs on market opportunities
• Develop training programs across multiple topics
•  Lead sub committees for team challenges / innovation
• Mentor Managers / Sr. Associates / Associates to further growth
• Brainstorm for increased innovation in client communication and/or productivity 
• Participate in New Business Pitches
• Identify process and reporting improvements 
• Effectively manage cross-functional initiatives and relationships across agencies and partners

Qualifications

• 6+ years’ experience within Media Buying/Investment
• Strong client facing experience
• Strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and math proficiency
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Technical proficiency, particularly with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving abilities
• Ability to work successfully with teams, handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines under pressure
• Detail oriented and able to produce accurate work
• Demonstrate leadership skills
• Stronger than average negotiation skills due to high volume of scatter
