Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Precision Supervisor is the primary manager of the day-to-day work and owns tactical planning and campaign execution. They are responsible for translating marketing/media objectives into tactics and have a firm grasp of both strategic and functional media knowledge.

This position is both strategic and tactical in scope, requiring the supervisor to independently generate strategic insights for the campaigns in his/her portfolio and implement campaigns with the support of an associate.  Supervisors train associates on client specific requirements, providing expertise in optimization strategies and guidance on best practices.

The Precision Supervisor is the primary point of contact for strategy on stewardship requests and should be ready and able to step in and handle situations when the Associate Director is not available.

This role offers frequent client contact, digital plan ownership, and the opportunity to lead project management and innovation. The ideal candidate will have prior agency experience with familiarity of digital tools.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

The client is one of the most digitally forward brands in the world, and this position allows you to drive innovation day in and day out.  You will have the opportunity to work on different types of digital (branding, conversion, new-to-market tech), as well as touch all digital platforms.
• Team Structure: Large team across Chicago and Seattle offices.  This position reports into an AMD in Chicago
• Client Environment: Growing client team always looking for what's next.  Need to be nimble and move at the speed of digital & retail

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Negotiate, execute, manage, and optimize direct to publisher and programmatic media campaigns while meeting or surpassing client performance expectations
• Develop, grow, and maintain relationships with digital marketplace
• Formulate proposals for new client opportunities
• Manage the delivery of creative assets, insertion orders, and all relevant campaign documentation in preparation for campaign launch
• Effectively communicate digital strategies and rational for tactical approaches for each campaign
• Partner with Analytics team on campaign measurement reporting and insights generation
• Provide regular insights to clients detailing performance, campaign optimizations, and new opportunities
• Work with media partners to ensure accurate platform implementation
• Troubleshoot issues on all pre-production and live campaigns
• Oversee campaign QA process
• Provide monthly auditing reports to Agency partners and actualize bill/pay systems when applicable
• Attend and present in client meetings
• Participate in regular knowledge share sessions to share and learn new strategies for optimizing and enhancing campaign performance
• Maintain quality control for programmatic campaign implementation and process
• Collaborate working with a lot of internal teams
• Oversees/manages Associate(s) and day-to-day operation of all media activity
• Trains and develops Associate(s), including:
o Effective level of delegation
o Managing group dynamics/relationships between Associate(s)
o Establishes and demonstrates strong leadership skills
o Evaluates performance of Associate(s) via PMP process; including assisting in the establishment of the cascading goals
o Checks work of Associate(s) to ensure accuracy
o Identifies opportunities for Associate(s) career development

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS

• 3+ years experience planning, negotiating, and executing digital campaigns - programmatic activation a plus
• Agency experience a must
• Digital background preferred with familarily of DSP landscape
• Established relationships with digital vendors in the Chicago market a plus
• Client facing experience with the ability to identify risks and effectively manage through issues
• Ability to prioritize and organize projects for self and Associate(s)
• Excellent understanding of media fundamentals
• Demonstrates ability in training and leadership capability
