Job Description

As a Content Manager on the Performance Content team, you’ll be given the opportunity to work with a variety of clients in different verticals, responsible for leading the success of the clients’ online marketing programs. You’ll use your knowledge of SEO, content marketing, social media and conversion optimization to improve the visibility of a client’s website.

The ideal Content Manager has a background in SEO and client management, and is analytical and uses problem solving capabilities to assure flawless program execution to meet and exceed objectives. The candidate will provide thought leadership on search strategies and optimization, build strong relationships with clients and instill clear lines of communications with fellow employees.

Technical:

·       Creates deliverables and solutions for specific needs in discipline

·       Create optimization opportunities and strategies using both qualitative and quantitative sources that boost conversion performance for clients

·       Ability to perform analysis of websites and e-commerce platforms by reviewing analytics, performance data, and content of web marketing best practices

·       Help execute thorough project plans and provide ongoing recommendations that will help drive improvements towards stated KPIs

·       Proven experience in using data to identify issues and create clear actions to improve website and e-commerce platform performance and KPIs

·       Assumes accountability and ownership of engagement successes and failures for clients

·       Able to work with account managers to understand specific client needs and helps team achieve deliverable goals

·       Embraces and encourages a culture based on team work, collaboration, and intellectual curiosity
 

Copy

·       Develop content strategies for various clients as needed

·       Understands and can deliver on performance-based content strategies that deliver measurable financial results for clients

·       Provides consistently clean, coherent and engaging on- and off-site copy that adheres to best practices for all relevant algorithms

·       Conducts advanced searches and analyzes data to identify content and keyword ideas according to determined strategies

·       Provides thought leadership on keyword research, density, META tags and body copy as well as broader SEO and SEM strategies for search engines as well as e-commerce platform search functionality

·       Understanding of discipline and how it fits into larger Performance Content Team

·       Leverages experience with analytical tools to support larger team

Outreach

·       Stays up to date with industry news and tools

·       Contributes to the continual improvement of and innovation within the outreach practice

·       Highly organized and capable of tracking multiple communications and follows up in a timely fashion

·       Excellent communication skills, the ability to create a genuine connection through email

Qualifications

·       2 - 4 years’ of account management experience in online advertising, SEO or direct marketing

·       Bachelor’s degree in related discipline

·       Working knowledge of online analytics metrics and related statistical concepts

·       Working knowledge of web analytics platforms such as Omniture, Google Analytics, and Coremetrics

·       Website development/design experience including development of wireframes, using CSS and HTML

·       Content strategy and creation experience tied to measurable business goals and KPIs

·       Demonstrated problem solving and project management skills

·       Strong analytical and implementation skills

·       Ability to craft persuasive, goal-oriented written communications

·       Strong online research skills including advanced use of search engines

·       High competency level in MS Office products including Excel, PowerPoint and Word

·       Must be able to work collaboratively and effectively with all levels of staff including senior management
