Job Description

The Vice President of Analytics and Technology has shared accountability for driving the overall practice evolution, operations, and revenue growth across the agency. In this role, the VP has responsibility for a defined portion of the practice and its development, staffing, and execution, serving as the department leader for their defined area and holding all internal resources allocated to clients accountable for delivering and producing an integrated work product. They are also responsible for supporting the continuous evolution by working across the organization to develop services and capabilities. The VP leads a team responsible for the development of data driven solution to develop consumer insights and improve marketing performance.

 

Role Objectives:

Account Management

  • Shared accountability for client satisfaction and growth as it pertains to the department

  • Support the matrix structure across the agency to drive success

Client Leadership

  • Serve as a senior leader across assigned client base, building client relationships as appropriate

  • Maintain a strong understanding of marketplace conditions and use that knowledge for ongoing communication with the market, sister agencies, and clients

Practice Development

  • Enhance and improve formal frameworks and methods to address client and industry strategies including the integration of digital media and customer analytics to increase performance

  • Continuous improvement and implementation of practices, operations, processes and tools that drive client satisfaction, results, operational efficiency, innovation and service delivery

  • Identify and develop product adjacencies and logical integration points to grow business and retain clients across the entire agency

  • Drive cross-agency integration through shared framework, methodology and workflow development

  • Work closely with client leads to monitor overall operational model and create constant efficiency

  • Establish and maintain partnerships with leading technology and analytics platforms

Team Leadership & Development

  • Drive a culture based on team work, collaboration with Drive a culture based on team work, collaboration with accountability and intellectual curiosity

  • Provide methodological coaching and mentorship across the team to develop critical thinking, quantitative and technical skills, working to drive business objectives and the strategic vision of the department and company

  • Supports the hiring, training and mentoring of all staff within the department

  • Conducts performance reviews and career path plans for direct reports

  • Reinforce a collaborative culture across teams for mentorship, shared product development and knowledge management

New Business

  • Serves as strategic business lead in appropriate business development opportunities in conjunction with the assigned pitch team

  • Contributes to prospecting through personal and professional network

  • Identifies key contributors from within the department and company who are capable of successful new business participation

Qualifications

  • 12 - 15 years of relevant experience in Management Consulting, Analytics or Marketing

  • Master’s degree in Business (MBA), Mathematics, Economics, Computer Sciences

  • 8+ years of management experience in digital marketing, direct marketing or e-commerce

  • Extensive experience in digital including digital measurement, analytics and associate data/technology platforms

  • 6-8 years of demonstrated success in leading teams

  • Proven success in creating and delivering clear, strategic presentations to C-level marketing and agency executives

  • Proven success mentoring and managing a staff of various levels of experience from entry-level to senior roles

  • Strong knowledge of one or more analytics disciplines including Web Analytics, Programmatic, CRM, Predictive Modeling, Marketing Mix Modeling and Attribution, Business Intelligence & Data Warehousing
