The Global Director position is a key role within the Samsung team with day to day client contact and overall responsibility for the smooth running of the account across the region. As Director, you will report directly into a Business Director and need to work closely and directly supervise Account Director within your team.

 

The role will work with the Business Director around the areas of account management on the range of categories, brands and media projects. The role also works with a broad range of other divisions and specialist teams. The role will be providing support as necessary in strategy development and lead tactical recommendations.

The role will primarily focus on managing day-to-day deliverables and ensure operational excellence on reporting, local market coordination, turn-around time and accuracy.  The role will assist in providing any information needed to develop the European Strategic Planning guidelines and lead the monitoring of local market adoption of European Strategies.

The ideal candidate needs to demonstrate excellent client handling skills, knowledge & proven ability across all media including digital media.  They should have a positive, “can-do” attitude, be capable of managing and delivering multiple projects (within deadlines) and stakeholders at one time and combined with a willingness to learn and continuously improve.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing all incoming and ‘live’ requests from clients including related documentation (briefing process, plans, rationales, post buys and other special documentation) and briefing to relevant teams internally
  • Understanding of client’s business, products and various structures to influence and guide investment decisions
  • Good understanding of global competitive tools and activity, to assess the impact on current and future client strategies and plans
  • Managing regular and ad hoc tasks within the team, including management of client status, other reporting systems
  • Participating in internal and external meetings regarding current projects, future possibilities
  • Delegate downwards according to volume/priority/resource
  • Good understanding of how to investigate and build consumer insights using all relevant industry tools and bespoke agency research tools
  • Orchestrate and coordinate the work of the experts (digital, strategy, data analytics) to achieve best in class work
  • Ensuring day-to-day operational excellence (managing simultaneous deadlines, accuracy in data and reporting)

  • Must be able to integrate inter-agency capabilities within the One Publicis Team Samsung groups
  • Be a team player able to lead the team across various simultaneous work streams within the various practices of Publicis Group
  • Must be able to demonstrate proven experience in a media agency
  • Must have proven people management experience
  • Must have proven experience managing overall team profitability
  • Must have proven experience liaising with and managing clients on a daily basis at all levels
  • Must have proven experience in designing and implementing work processes
  • Must have vast experience on end-to-end planning and leads strategic discussions
  • Must have proven experience integrating specialist disciplines (TV, AV, Digital, Social, Search, Print/Radio/OOH, content, research and analytics) and creating optimum communication plans
  • Exceptional integrator and operator who is able to get stuff done and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Must have proven experience in usage of tools that produce consumer insights and budget recommendations and analyzing results to influence output
  • Must remain calm under pressure
  • Flexible and adaptable in fast changing environments
  • Have a strong motivational spirit and strong servicing and client management skills
  • Self-starter and team player who can work with all levels and across all disciplines
  • Able to manage day to day client conversations
  • Able to drive collaboration amongst all stakeholders around different work streams to produce an integrated Client solution
