Job Description

This role’s primary responsibility is to ensure that data privacy principles are implemented into all areas of Publicis Media’s business. This person will be responsible for coordinating and communicating deliverables to each market on best practices as it relates to data privacy. This position will have knowledge of data privacy laws and understand how they impact the adtech and advertising industry. The Manager of Data Governance will coordinate across senior-level business stakeholders to deploy newly created processes to meet data privacy mandates. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees one or more of the following Data Governance Strategy work streams:
•    Collaborate with various stakeholders on client questions and requests as it relates to data privacy
•    Provide subject matter expertise on data privacy law implications to adtech and advertising services 
•    Deploy and ensure the completion of record keeping obligations per the legal mandate
•    Develop guidance as well as training and awareness materials for relevant business functions involved in the processing of personal data
•    Compile status reports of data privacy deliverables to executive leadership 
•    Coordinate and communicate across Publicis Media’s markets to share best practices related to data privacy and communicate needed deliverables
•    Manage integrated, multi-track projects in work stream planning processes 
•    Demonstrate excellent writing skills and communication techniques
•    Drive communication among stakeholders to elevate the organizations’ commitment to data privacy
•    Work closely with leadership to set strategy and define success criteria for enterprise-wide initiatives
 

Qualifications

•    Proficient knowledge in Excel and/or PowerPivot
•    Knowledge and understanding of the use of data within the advertising and media industry (for example, programmatic advertising, behavioral targeting)
•    Clear and concise communication skills
•    Positive attitude, proactive and has a passion for continuous learning
•    Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of Publicis Groupe and with clients
•    Solid organizational skills, especially the ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
•    Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
•    Ability to modify data privacy processes to cultural and market differences 


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•    Experience with the General Data Protection Regulation, as well as other global privacy laws, regulations, and industry guidelines, especially including those relevant for online behavioral advertising and adtech companies
•    Desired certifications: CIPP/E, CIPM
