About the role

The role requires a highly motivated, technical, & entrepreneurial person to deliver best in class digital activation, overseeing strategic cross channel plan development, digital operations, and all aspects of execution whilst delivering immaculate client servicing for global clients that are rapidly transforming their business. This person is expected to be a key part in facilitating this transformation.

We are looking for someone that can come in and make an immediate impact, working across multiple areas of expertise in digital operations, managing multiple projects across different clients, and working closely with different specialist teams to deliver best in class work.  Experience in digital activation and/or operations is a must.

The Digital Operations Manager will be a core part of the global Edrington and Perrigo client teams. They will work closely with the global account and planning teams to deliver best in class planning, activation, and local market execution.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1.       Digital activation strategy & deployment

  • Develop insights led global activation strategy, best practices, and media plans for search (PPC+SEO), social, and online video; for both central and local activation.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of client’s category, products, and marketing objectives.
  • Write & deliver cross-channel media strategies, and oversee translation of these strategies into execution within the search and social teams.
  • Recommend new partners and innovation testing as relevant.
  • Oversee channel teams to ensure best in class delivery of plans, execution and reporting.
  • Identify inefficiencies and streamline ways of working and process with channel teams.
  • Final QA of all activation to ensure high quality of work delivered by channel teams.
  • Prioritise team work, delegating responsibilities and ensuring channel teams are effectively developing and optimizing campaigns for added value.
  • Lead internal and client presentations and meetings, including presenting strategy and results of activation campaigns.
  • Generate insights and learnings for future strategic plans and channel optimization analysing data from key data sources like GA, Google, Facebook, GWI, and other platforms and be able to visualize/tell story with data.
  • Develop and deploy best practice client channel toolkits (working with specialist teams to develop) that provide guidance on how to use digital channels to deliver global strategy.
  • Work with global and local planning & activation teams to ensure best practice delivery, adoption of global strategy, and identify best practice case studies that can be scaled.

2.       Digital operations & ad-technology

  • Data governance – set up systems to ensure data consistency across all markets & platforms. This will include tracking of adherence to global naming conventions, evaluating and troubleshooting data quality issues across ad-tech platforms, and leading development of site tagging strategy.
  • Work with the data & tech team to optimize ad-technology stack set up. For example, this can include integrating component parts of an ad-tech stack (e.g. Google Marketing Platform, adform), providing guidance on usage of ad-tech stack components (e.g. ad-server, DSP, search bid manager), and recommend use cases for GA360.
  • Drive adoption of ad-verification partners to optimize media to key client objectives. 
  • Develop and deploy ad-tech guidelines for local market adoption.
  • Support digital director to develop client digital data strategy.

3.       Develop and maintain relationships

  • Build relationships and establish the smooth running of key stakeholder groups: the central clients, central Zenith account & planning teams, and central/local Zenith activation teams.
  • Ensure smooth running of day to day client and act as primary point of contact.
  • Clear and timely communication with clients and other members of the team.

Qualifications

Experience Required

Must have demonstrable technical knowledge and experience in at least two of the areas below:

  • Strong experience in managing strategy development, execution/optimization, & reporting in at least one biddable channel (e.g. Facebook, YouTube, or paid search) utilizing tools like FB Business Manager, Google Ads, SA360, etc.
  • Developing cross channel digital media strategies (e.g. search, social, online video, etc.).
  • Experience in creating and/or executing SEO strategies & recommendations.
  • Proven experience with web analytics platforms like Google Analytics or Adobe.
  • Advanced knowledge of key global media owners e.g. Facebook, Google, Adform or Amazon.
  • A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and abilities:
  • Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills to be able to engage with multiple stakeholders to drive delivery of projects.
  • Proven client management experience.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while ensuring high standard of work.
  • Evidence of being solution driven and innovative with how they drive performance and delivery.

 

Desirable experience (but not required)

  • Multi-market experience.
  • Previous category experience in spirits, pharma, or FMCG.
  • Experience in working with Google Analytics 360 suite.
  • Experience in working with data management platforms e.g. Salesforce or Adobe.
