Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE

Client delivery and implementation planning; representing the agencies briefs and values, inspiring others to do the same. Delivering service and product, which drives advertising and marketing led growth for our clients.

 ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Insights fuelled strategic recommendation in collaboration with Strategy team, connections plan & channel recommendation, briefs to media.
  • Sell in and management of planning recommendations.  Support the expansion of relevant knowledge and skills. 
  • Budgets - monitor client expenditure and plans. 
  • Develop & nurture strong relationships with key internal & external stakeholders. 
  • Oversee accounts day to day with support from BD. 
  • Manage client expectations. 
  • Handle all key client communication particularly relating to errors. 
  • Manage workflow
  • Define key metrics for success for measuring and evaluating advertising campaign performance creating a framework for ongoing investment decision making
  • Ultimately responsible for managing the accurate and timely delivery of advertising media reporting
  • Play an active role in ensuring that unique and ground-breaking implementation of ideas and campaigns are developed.
  • Anticipate clients’ business needs and proactively approach them advertising
  • media solutions to help grow their business
  • Manage a team including Account Managers, Executives and Coordinators
  • Execute plans to enhance our agency planning product grow revenue through specialist services and research initiatives
  • Participate in new business initiatives and building the agencies reputation externally in line with our positioning, beliefs and values
  • Promote Starcom both internally and externally with media and clients in line with agency purpose and values.
  • Actively contribute and volunteer to participate in new business pitches.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Coordinate internal stakeholders of strategy, comms planning, innovation, investment and digital professionals on brief responses
  • Ensure response delivery timelines are in place
  • Set clear campaign and media success metrics and establish performance benchmarks
  • Reviewing all media recommendation outputs/presentations
  • Management of client finance including minimise account queries/aged debts

SOFT SKILLS

  • Project confidence, energy and build team morale in line with our purpose and value
  • Foreseeing and leading conflict resolution with all key stakeholders
  • Own and build client relationship and be the first point of contact for conflicts
  • Initiate briefing kick-off sessions ensuring all key stakeholders are aware of objectives, requirements and timings
  • Reviewing and attending media briefings and ensure team provides feedback in timely manner
  • Ensure clear communication to all key stakeholders and remove ambiguity
  • Work with the Innovate team to implement workshops that create actionable ideas
  • Ensure processes are in place that guarantee seamless campaign execution and reporting instilling a culture of attention to detail and communication

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience within media planning/buying with a digital focus
  • Have in depth knowledge of syndicated and proprietary tools
  • Have a proven track record in leading teams and being a trusted advisor to clients
