Job Description

As the Regional APAC Lead for Research, you will be responsible for all key research solutions for Asia Pacific, and driving revenue for additional research projects. You will also be in charge of ensuring excellence through training programmes that will continuously upgrade knowledge and utilization of Publicis's suite of tools including GWI-Pace Panel, Tardiis, Touchpoints etc.

Tasked with finding and building new business opportunities for the clients and often owning more than one client account, you will support existing business and managing client relationships while managing 3rd party survey and panel agencies. Projects often span multi APAC markets, and there will be the need for project management and active client management. 

In addition, you will also be working closely with our partners such as Google and Facebook to ensure we leverage the tools and solutions with excellence.

 

Specifically, you will:

  • Enable your team to prioritize project requirements and delivery, determine tasks and actions for the team, allocate resources effectively, schedule and meet deadlines, brief support services, manage and evaluate project progress.
  • Lead client facing meetings for regional research projects
  • Act as an advisor in giving guidance and recommendations on analysis techniques; contribute to strategic content of conclusions and recommendations and by adding value to research results.
  • Manage client relations by acquiring relevant background knowledge and clear understanding of client business, relationship building, meeting deadlines, managing client expectations, and being responsible for liaising with clients on all aspects of the study - from briefing to presentation on overall client needs, not just per project.
  • For critical regional pitches, provide quick support on insights using tools or by designing quick adhoc projects
  • Set standards of excellence, ensuring high quality through thorough checking procedures, conducting detailed checks of proposals, questionnaires, discussion guides, presentations, etc.
  • Present both qualitative and quantitative studies to the marketing and research teams.
  • Support as needed in key media pitches

Qualifications

You will be/have:

  • Educated to a degree level, ideally in Marketing with a minimum of 12 years’ experience in market research.
  • Strong record of driving revenue projects for research
  • Team management – There is a small regional research team, and a community of insights leads across markets, who you will lead to the next best practices in research and insights
  • Candidates with experience of brand tracking will be preferred
  • In order to add value, he or she would possess strategic thinking ability, a deep understanding of clients’ needs, able to multi-task and work under pressure.
  • Able to manage projects and the team to contribute towards achievement of financial targets, through developing client relationships, managing key supplier relationships, as well as instilling a learning culture among the team.
  • Possess presentation skills, basic commercial acumen and business writing skills in English.
  • With strong attention to detail and excellent project management skills, the Research Manager will also need to be analytical and be good with interpreting and turning statistics into insights
