Job Description

Client:

Luxottica is the global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of fashion, luxury, sports and performance eyewear. Created in Italy by Mr Del Vecchio who remains the owner of the company. Their global HQ is based in Milan.

They own some iconic brands, such as Ray-Ban, Oakley or Persol.

Their business is split across Eyewear brands (i.e. Ray-Ban, Oakley, Persol, Vogue, Arnette, Oliver Peoples) and Retail brands (Sunglass Hut, Lenscrafters, Pearle Vision).

Luxottica is a large and complex business supported by Zenith in 30 markets across three regions (EMEA, Americas, APAC).

Luxottica’s EMEA Hub team are based in London and responsible for the management of the agency relationship, media partnerships, strategic direction, process, best practice and operations for the EMEA region.

 

Role:

As Senior Account Executive, you will join the EMEA hub team for the Luxottica account, based in London at Zenith’s HQ. You will report directly to the Account Manager and also work closely with the Business Director.

You will be a key member of the EMEA Hub team responsible for managing the EMEA region, consisting of 10+ markets. You will have contact with global Luxottica media and marketing clients as well as our Zenith Luxottica Global team based in Milan.

Our team is responsible for regional coordination, process and operations. We manage the EMEA network and ensure adherence to global strategies and guidelines. This role requires a person who is agile and responsive to meet the ever-changing needs of a face-paced business.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

Network

  • Network management across 10+ markets and coordination of global requests to ensure the information we receive is both timely and accurate.
  • Build strong relationships with local Zenith teams to help keep the global team up-to-date on media campaigns, processes and client relationships across all markets.
  • Prioritise and manage a range of regular deliverables as well as ad hoc requests, with agility, flexibility and a can-do attitude.
  • Be seen as a key point of contact and source of support for the local Zenith markets.
  • Lead the weekly and monthly status reports for Luxottica (campaigns, media plan development, reporting).
  • Learn about local media landscapes and review local media plans to assess quality and adherence to global strategy.

Team

  • Work closely with the Account Manager, supporting across all areas of the business as required and proactively.
  • Be a true team player at all times, willing and ready to support your team.
  • Take the lead on day-to-day account administrative and proactively help to drive efficiencies in daily tasks.
  • Manage upwards to ensure your team are aware of key workstreams, updates or challenges.
  • Play an active role in weekly internal status meetings as well as other internal meetings and ensure next steps are actioned across the team.
  • Learn about the agency, how the business works and the various disciplines within it, as well as the broader media industry.
  • Prioritise training sessions and on the job learning to further develop core skills.
  • Take an active role in learning about the Luxottica business.
  • Keep up to date on digital and marketplace developments to ensure knowledge of key areas of focus for the client is always up to date.
  • Support in the prep and content development for client meetings, working with the Account Manager.
  • Ensure all client deliverables are completed to the highest standard and delivered on time.

Skills required:

  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong written and oral skills- able to come across clearly and succinctly in email or over the phone
  • Strong numerical skills with the ability to analyse and interrogate numbers and produce compelling arguments.
  • Strong analytical skills and able to understand and interpret data; to identify trends, opportunities and make strategic arguments.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in managing other people
  • Experience in media and specifically global network management, is valued, though not essential.
