Job DescriptionBlue 449 is looking for a Media Supervisor to join our team. The position is focused on fast-moving retail client.  The Supervisor is a model for the team’s junior talent, in terms of communications style and frequency, along with being a motivator, coach, guide, and supporter. We are looking for a hard-working and talented individual who is passionate about building and growing his or her career in the integrated marketing field.
 
 

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

Media Competencies
•    Guide and drive media strategies for client account(s): define objectives, develop paid media strategy, continually evaluate, and employ best-in-class ideas to deliver optimized performance for clients
•    Own and be accountable for the business, defined as a clear understanding of overarching, high level business objectives for the client
•    Supervise, direct and review the development and implementation of specified media strategies and plans across strategy and channel teams to ensure alignment with client objectives
•    Provide and/or guide strategic input for all plans internally and externally
•    Experience with offline planning across TV, Radio, OOH and knowledge of digital strategy is a plus
•    Oversee, author and/or constructively edit and review the writing of media documents (timelines, POVs, strategy documents and decks, plans, internal correspondence and client comm)
•    Lead all day-to-day implementation and stewardship of approved plans
•    Understand all proprietary research tools/processes and apply learning during comms planning; ensure that junior staff is able to utilize all proprietary tools
•    Compile and interpret media research for use in strategy development and ultimate tactical plans
•    Lead project timelines, ensuring on-time deliverables across all team members
 
Management Responsibility/Relationship Development
•    Manage up to Associate Director and VP level leadership
•    Build, maintain and grow client relationships and client business
•    Lead client presentations and status meetings providing insight into all facets of the account
•    Ensure key information is provided to team in a timely manner including any client issues, internal agency issues, vendor issues, etc.
•    Build and maintain relationships with media publishers and internal agency counterparts
•    Staying apprised of new and emerging technology, creative and programming applications for potential use for clients
•    Develop and grow Planners and AMPs by ensuring their exposure to all necessary facets of the planning process
•    Supervise junior staff by managing workloads, delegating responsibilities, checking work for accuracy, and providing job performance feedback to management
•    Act as key manager of planning team relationships with internal implementation teams, as well as ensuring that the implementation teams are adequately briefed on overarching campaign objectives and strategies


Financial Competencies
•    Develop and maintain media plans and monitor all approvals and client budgets
•    Manage all campaign financials and forecasting process
•    Review monthly billing and ensure accuracy prior to authorizing deployment to Finance

Qualifications

Requirements:
•    A minimum of 3-4 years of integrated paid media experience
•    Bachelor’s Degree in advertising, marketing or related program
•    A complete knowledge of offline marketing concepts and practices as well as a familiarity with interactive media concepts
•    Strong mathematic and analytical skills
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
•    Working knowledge of research tools such as MRI, Simmons, Kantar, Z-Wizard, Tardiis, etc
