Job Description

The Blue 449 SF Digital Investment team is the heart of our agency ecosystem, enabling the fulfillment of media strategy into compelling consumer experiences. This team owns media recommendations, execution and the operational excellence to efficiently deliver both. We’re looking for a digital native with a strong media background who is ready to take on an exciting leadership role.
The Digital Investment Director will manage campaign stewardship from initial brief to post-campaign analysis. This fast-paced, large media account requires the ability to shift from mid-funnel, demand-gen media to high impact branding tactics. Close partnership with event/sponsorship, social and broadcast teams is necessary to facilitate cross-channel execution. Results drive every media decision, requiring close collaboration with analytics teams.

The right candidate for this role will possess the ability to remain head-strong, calm and positive on a dynamic, fast-paced account with demanding clients. We are seeking someone with the ability to juggle multiple client needs while maneuvering sudden changes of direction with ease and foresight. The ability to manage up to senior leadership and manage down to Assistant Media Planners is key to success. Communication / people skills are a must as there is significant interfacing with many personalities across various disciplines and experience levels.

Media Responsibilities
• Lead the oversight of media operations, planning, negotiations and execution
• Participate in planning sessions and brainstorms with the Strategy team to ensure alignment with client direction
• Guide teams in the securing of high value, premium placements and competitive rates
• Supervise, direct and review the development of media presentations
• Ensure the accurate execution, delivery and quality of all media
• Oversee the optimization of media campaigns and alignment with measurement plans & learning agendas
• Effectively lead client and internal digital media presentations
• Maintain knowledge of applicable and emerging technologies. Understand and adopt new trends and/or processes in digital media for clients and for Blue 449
• Support the roll-out and optimization of internal processes to drive operational efficiency
Relationship Development
• Build and maintain relationships with media publishers and technology representatives
• Ensure key information is provided to team in a timely manner including any client, internal agency or vendor issue

Management Responsibilities
• Manage a team of Assistants, Media Planners, Supervisors and Associate Directors
• Build the next generation of media leaders through active training & mentoring
• Proven track record of flawlessly managing issues, teams and clients

Qualifications

10  years of online media planning and negotiating experience in an interactive agency
• A minimum of 5 years of management experience
• Strong mathematic and analytical skills
• Familiarity with DMP, DSP, Rich Media, Ad Serving, Ad Verification and Analytics platforms
