Job Description

Overview:

The Marketing Associate supports marketing and external communications through a variety of channels and liaises with numerous stakeholders at all levels of the organization.  

Performics is dedicated to accelerating its internal and external marketing efforts. As the agency evolves, so too must the Performics brand, content and communication. It is the role of this department to help define our brand messaging and strategically disseminate our brand stories. The results of this work will help bring in new business opportunities and drive the reputation of our agency in the marketplace.

This role will get to work with a small, nimble and very enthusiastic Marketing group who is making a distinct impact here at Performics. S/he will have the opportunity to work with individuals across the entire organization, including senior-most Executives. That exposure and learning opportunity could lay the groundwork for future opportunities in any department.

 Role Objectives: 

This person must be quick on his/her feet and able to take direction and run with projects without constant supervision. It is very critical that this person be able to manage deadlines and help keep our team organized while we juggle many projects at once. This position will be what the individual makes of it, with lots of opportunity to take on responsibility and grow the role.

  • Manage and help create award/speaking calendar on behalf of the agency 
  • Manage a content calendar for the Marketing group
  • Take on full ownership for social channel posting and community management
  • Drive case study development with account teams. Be a universal keeper of global case studies.
  • Become well-versed in the Performics brand, including feeling comfortable writing in brand voice. Become just as familiar with the key leaders of Performics and their areas of expertise.
  • Create and send monthly Performics newsletters
  • Update our website and new business microsites in WordPress
  • Contribute to outbound Performics marketplace visibility initiative, including the Performics blog, bylines and other thought leadership by editing content contributions from around the company
  • Support New Business with content, assets and research for lead development and pitches
  • Provides support for all marketing initiatives
  • Maintains and organizes marketing toolkits and asset libraries
  • Helps create our quarterly dashboards
  • Maintains inventory and order new branded materials

Organization & Detail-orientation. To prove his/her giftedness in these areas, we would want to see:

  • Pristinely maintained timelines
  • Consistency across branded content (e.g. case studies, award submissions, etc.)
  • Someone who is incredibly thorough in communications with busy leads throughout the company so project expectations are always clear, follow-up items are handled in a timely fashion and handoffs are conducted on time
  • Someone who takes pride in his/her work and actively offers to take on greater levels of responsibility

The Marketing team is small but mighty. This individual will need to be comfortable working both individually and as a part of a team. S/he needs to be able to communicate well with a diverse mix of people. S/he will need to have a great positive energy and someone who doesn’t get down when obstacles or unforeseen challenges crop up. The pace will be fast. We are an autonomous group that has many important stakeholders, which translates to the ability to make decisions within the group, but a requirement to be very good at managing expectations and securing buy-in from agency leadership.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • 1 year of professional experience, including internships 
  • Project management capabilities
  • Experience editing/managing content; writing a plus
  • Professional communication skills
  • Social Media community management experience (specifically Twitter, Facebook, G+, Slideshare, LinkedIn)
  • Experience with WordPress and Constant Contact (or other email platform) preferred but not required
  • Strong willingness to learn!
  • Experience with PowerPoint required
  • Strong organizational skills
