Job Description

About the role:

RUN, a division inside of Publicis Media that programmatically buys for the agency, is seeking an SVP, Product Engineering to lead the Product Team in defining product features and requirements to deliver successful and innovative technology solutions. In this role, you will be a key component of our New York-based product team by delivering innovative solutions that provide a competitive edge to our brand agencies in their digital display and search marketing efforts.

About the day to day:

  • Responsible for all aspects of managing the development activities and product technical vision including:  personnel, budget, schedule, quality of product, customer interaction and satisfaction, and research and development
  • Understanding market problems and developing a strategic objective to solve them
  • Work with Engineering Management to define the technical requirements for the company’s products
  • Develop and maintain standards and procedures (such as version control and efficient, modular, reusable code) related to product development systems, functions, and processes
  • Communicating solutions.  Make sure team members understands the client's problem and understands the solution that we need to deliver to meet objectives
  • Ensure best practices in software product life cycle, and quality assurance and expand use of methodologies, standards, and processes, as appropriate, to maximize efficiency across the organization
  • Maintain relationships with senior management to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Hire, train, coach, and evaluate staff to support department and company objectives
  • Clearly define goals for each member of the team. Motivate team members and be responsible for career evaluation and development
  • Communicating solutions through visual and technical presentations
  • Identify and develop strategic organizational effectiveness initiatives that enhance performance, effectiveness, and employee satisfaction levels
  • Serve as a process consultant to departments, groups, and teams to enhance group functioning, productivity, and organizational performance.
  • Provide responsibility for the department's scheduling, budget, and resource allocation, including effective management of technology operating costs and budget.

Qualifications

You have:

  • 10-15+ years of strategic leadership, product development, and product management
  • Experienced in advertising technology or related fields a major 
  • Demonstrated product expertise working with multiple platforms, systems, development approaches and complex data
  • Strong ability to inspire and coach teams for success
  • Motivated and agile business driver who demonstrates strong executive presence, influencing skills, and sense of urgency
