The Team/Department Profile
SPARK FOUNDRY’s planning department is the heart of the agency – in terms of its function, its people and its location. We are diverse in our experience, personalities, nationalities and the clients we look after - and we celebrate that diversity.
Our clients are professional but also creative and fun and this is reflected in the way we work and relate to each other. We’re a great team who know that the way to deliver great work is to work together – and we enjoy it. We are a tight-knit team who socialize together and share in each other’s successes.
The relationship between SPARK FOUNDRY and McCormick has existed for over 6 years and we have been integral in helping strengthen the business by building a stronger consumer connection with the brand. This is increasingly important as owned label are gaining more real estate on store shelves while also taking share largely due to cheaper pricing.
One of McCormick’s goals for 2019 will be continuing to drive a successful repackaging launch and creating compelling communication of superiority. As always we will need to continue to maximize seasonality by winning Christmas and boosting summer. We have moderate budgets that allow us to challenge the marketplace and ourselves to deliver cut through ideas and build the McCormick brand.
McCormick requires a high level of attention to detail and a challenging, confident individual to assist in taking the clients on a journey. You will be required to build strong relationships internally and will develop a deeper understanding of how disciplines work together from a paid, owned and earned perspective. You will assist in driving strategy development and content approach by using all insights and research to develop an overarching strategy & content framework including priority touchpoints and content themes to be deployed in 2019.
Spectrum Brands are responsible for IAMS, the market leading pet food brand for cats and dogs. They also market Eukanuba pet food. They operate in a competitive market which also has an element of emotional leverage that you would expect from advertising to pet owners. IAMS are looking to develop their brand along more emotional lines and so it’s an exciting time to get involved. The client is committed to increasing brand expenditure especially within digital channels alongside more traditional offline.
We have been working closely with our sister creative agency Publicis on this exciting account since the beginning of 2018. While primarily executing offline channels, we work with lastminute.com to coordinate their entire media offering, tapping their data rich resources. With a focus on channel efficiency this fast moving client look to SPARK FOUNDRY for best practice in the UK as it extends its offering across the rest of Europe.
Abu Dhabi Tourist Board
SPARK FOUNDRY works with their sister agency Starcom Dubai to manage this exciting and forward thinking client.
We help to develop their strategic approach and have recently worked with a major tech media owner in formulating a ground breaking VR campaign. The nature of the account means there is a good level of autonomy and a chance for more pioneering work.
Who are we looking for?
This role is split across four client accounts, and we are looking for a strong Associate Director to lead these growing brands. It is a challenging role as the clients are across very different sectors and we would like someone who is very proactive and adaptable. We would also like someone who has a strong digital background and a good understanding of how the role content plays in the marketing / comms mix.
As our budgets steadily increase YoY, we seek innovation, strive to build upon momentum, surpass our client objectives and goals, all with the aim of delivering world class work along the journey. Joining the team at SPARK FOUNDRY will provide opportunities to produce and deliver outstanding and rewarding product.
In addition our Associate Directors are critical to pulse and success of the agency. They drive our agency positioning, growth and development. We seek talent that is collaborative, enthusiastic, innovative, experts in client servicing, people management, and are personally motivated in helping shape and evolve the brands we partner with.
You will be expected to demonstrate your confidence and understanding of working with high profile brands, and have a track record of developing innovative work. We must therefore continually challenge ourselves and our clients to deliver work that continues to stand out and gets the brands noticed.
We expect our Associate Directors to also lead by example and mentor and train the rising stars at our agency so we are always prepared for the future.
You will be required to develop ideas with both internal and external teams that challenge our clients and makes their brands famous. You will be expected to demonstrate your confidence and understanding of working with high profile brands, and have a track record of developing innovative work.
