Job Description

The Role

As a Senior Content Executive, your role sits within the Strategy and Editorial team of the Publicis Media Content Practice. The role requires an ability to write and edit copy for a range of clients, as well carrying out content audits and producing insights to understand a brands audience and cultural landscape.

Your day-to-day tasks will be varied, but will include writing articles, reviews, blogs and other forms of online content, as well as undertaking detailed data-led content audits to obtain audience insights in support of content strategy development.

As you grow in the role you will be expected to support the Content Associate Directors to produce strategy documentation for clients.

Our teams work together, sharing ideas and knowledge, so this role requires someone who is a team player and has a creative mind. We are looking for someone who is not only passionate and curious about what they do but is comfortable discussing with internal customers (planners) and brands in an accessible way.

An understanding of how paid, owned and earned media work together is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Writing, editing and proofreading original web content for high profile national and international clients, working quickly and efficiently to deliver against deadlines
  • Execute work based on SEO best practice, building on SEO writing skills
  • Support with the development of content strategy:
    • Understand briefs & business objectives and ask questions to ensure client KPI’s are met
    • Communicate with clients as directed by Line Manager
  • Assist in content auditing for the UK and multi-market clients
    • Know how to use research tools, including Comscore, Social Listening, Google tools etc.
    • Proactively suggest areas for research using creative, divergent, and lateral thinking around briefs
    • Provide rationale for all insights, content audits, and research carried out
  • Support brief leads to deliver a response to organic and new business briefs
    • Be part of pitch brief response teams and support brief lead to consolidate search, social and audience insights to present to planners and new business teams
  • Build trusted relationships with wider Publicis Media teams and understand clients' business and competitors
  • Build upon communication/presentation skills to pitch ideas to clients
  • Contribute to internal and external company communications (newsletters, thought pieces etc.)

Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Excellent English language writing skills, strong attention to detail
  • Experience in writing content for a variety of industries, formats and styles
  • Experience writing copy with SEO best practice guidelines
  • A capacity for editing and proof reading
  • Experience supporting with content reviews and audits
  • Ability to deliver work within short time frames, meeting tight deadlines through effective time management
  • Solution-focused and able to respond positively and flexible to change
  • A creative mind that thinks outside the box
  • Keen interest in innovation
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer literacy with awareness of blogging and social media
  • Good understanding of Search Engine Optimisation and Influencer Marketing
  • Basic photo editing skills (cropping, resizing etc)

Desired Skills:

  • Professional writing experience (e.g. digital/print published clips, copy writing examples/portfolio)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
  • Design skills (e.g., knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of HTML
