Job Description

SVP, GLOBAL ACCOUNT LEAD

 

Overview:

We are looking for an experienced B2B expert to lead the Oracle account in Chicago. The SVP, Global Account Lead will support all advertising, marketing and business efforts, responsible for collaborating, leading and inspiring teams to provide great work for Oracle. The candidate should be able to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams and should be strategic, disciplined, and have a broad understanding of traditional and digital media, performance marketing, analytics and content marketing.

 

The SVP, Global Account Lead will also be responsible for global business and commercial planning.

Zenith has a 14-year partnership with Oracle, and leads the global business out of Chicago with a team of over 35 people. We coordinate with regional Zenith offices in Singapore and London and partner agencies in São Paulo. We also provide Oracle with a “Power of One” Publicis Solution, working closely with our sister creative agency Leo Burnett, on all Oracle production and creative.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Own relationships with senior clients and overall partnership between client and agency
  • Develop, implement and execute account strategy to define the future direction of the business
    • Understand the client’s marketing objectives and develop strategies to deliver ROI
    • Collaborate with regional account leads to drive global account strategy and monitor account health
    • Work with account VPs to deliver account strategy and ensure overall account health
    • Design and manage projects, resources, stakeholders, participants and deadlines
    • Identify opportunities for proactive business building and innovation across the Groupe
  • Oversee commercial relationship, ensuring that commercial model and business needs are fully aligned
    • Own annual global master contract and statement of work development and negotiation
    • Ensure global account scope is delivered according to contract
    • Manage internal business planning and commercials, ensuring account commercials ladder up to agency imperatives
    • Provide accurate and timely annual/quarterly billing projections
    • Direct long-term talent planning and development to maximize organizational resources
  • Develop and maintain a strong team culture which is client focused and results driven
  • Support engagements with Oracle across Groupe brands and markets
  • Participate in new business efforts including development of new business opportunities and new business pitches

Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or relevant, equivalent experience

·         10+ years’ experience as an Account Director or Group Account Director

·         Proven leadership abilities and managerial experience as a disciplined team leader. Strong coaching and mentoring skills

·         Possess a thorough understanding of the overall media environment in addition to the Client(s) industry and business

·         A strong account management background, including past experience managing client accounts and supervising account teams

·         Can comfortably and effectively interact at the senior leadership level (VP and C-Suite)

·         A strong sense of urgency and commitment to get the job done quickly and with high quality

·         Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with people at all levels of an organization
