Job Description

The Starcom Advanced Analytics & Insights (AAI) – Decision Sciences team draws on the dynamic advertising technology space, digital and offline analytics, and evolving methodologies to address complex research and measurement challenges across Starcom client brands.  This is a great opportunity to join an innovative team that drives consumer-first thinking and actionable insights for top-tier brands. 

The Manager  of Media Campaign Performance Measurement will primarily be responsible for the team's Consumer Insights and Media Campaign Measurement initiatives for a top-teir, high profile, classic CPG client.  Collaborating with client and internal partners, the Media Manager will track campaign performance and inform strategy teams of insight, trend and performance analysis of media campaigns across multiple media channels.   The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in media research and/or consumer insights with the abililty to manage and mentor a team.  Must haves include previous experience communicating and presenting to clients on a regular basis with a proven track record of building and maintaing reltionships with internal and external partners. The ability to provide timely and accurate reporting is key.  This is a highly collaborative team that fosters an environment of innovation, mentorship, and partnership.  

-Execute, manage, and deliver best-in-class measurement & insight to inform communication strategy

• Partner with the primary lead for brand and consumer research analysis that yields unique insights and opportunities

• Inform media targeting and budget allocations to ensure client advertising investment is optimized to drive results

• Support audience analytics activities including developing precision audience recommendation for campaigns and mining target audience data for relevant and actionable insights

• Collaborate with client research, insights and analytics team; have deep knowledge of client’s business goals and challenges

• Leverage social listening to define category, consumer, brand and competitive landscapes

• Proactively educate internal and external clients on research, tools and approaches

• Command expertise in media concepts, terminology, media math and media plan execution

• Help answer client questions, create client-ready presentations and present at client meetings

• Develop research approaches to address complex research and measurement challenges

• Construct and execute "test and learn" measurement and consumer research roadmaps tied to business goals

• Support measurement execution focused on ad/media effectiveness, brand health and consumer behavior that capture campaign performance, inform optimizations and impact future plans

• Oversee integrated in-campaign performance analysis across media, brand and business metrics

• Communicate opportunities, learnings and recommendations with authority and credibility

• Evaluate new and current data partners, and identify new approaches to ensure our research is cutting edge

• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving abilities

• Willing and able to learn in a fast-paced environment with a strong ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

• Expertise in applying data to solving business challenges which requires the ability to analyze diverse data from conceptualization through insightful presentation
 

Qualifications

 

  • 3+ Years of experience in media research and/or consumer insights  at a media / advertisement agency or third party campaign measurment and insights company. 
  • Advanced MS- Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Excellent analytical, written and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of media research sources and terminology across multiple media sources
  • Experience using data and deliverable software across media channels for research purposes, including Nielsen, MRI, GWI, comScore, NetBase, and others. 
  • Undergraduate degree required, post graduate a plus
