Job Description

Spark Foundry is looking for a Director to lead our Paid and Organic Search team, reporting into the SVP of Digital Acquisition Strategy with a team of 15+ dedicated SEM and SEO practitioners in NYC, plus additional offshore resource. The Director will be fully dedicated to a single account with several lines of business/products, and part of a larger Search practice within the agency.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
You'll provide leadership and strategic vision to the client and agency team in order to support aggressive customer acquisition goals. Additional lines of business interface with the Search team to drive brand preference and manage brand reputation.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
• Direct the long-term and short-term strategic marketing efforts to meet acquisition goals
• Develop and lead teams across annual plans, quarterly business reviews and tactical recommendations
• Work with Display Directors to understand and execute on integrated media solutions
• Keep a firm pulse on changes to the marketplace and industry, adjusting marketing plans accordingly
• Develop a best-in-class search team that will scale and thrive as the business grows
• Effectively use tools to automate and scale the business in an efficient, cost-effective manner
• Ensure excellence and accuracy in all client deliverables 

Qualifications

• A 4-year degree and at least 8 years experience in SEM/SEO (financial services experience a plus)
• Track record of thought leadership and innovation in Search strategy
• Advanced knowledge of SEM and SEO technical skills/tools (including Adwords, Bing Ads, DoubleClick, Google Analytics, conversion tracking, reporting and analysis)
• Experience in both ROAS/ROI and CPA goal related SEM programs
• Understanding of how SEO works with SEM, and Search with Display and Social   
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to teach complex systems easily (bid management, algorithm changes, advanced strategy planning)
• Outstanding leadership and people management skills
• Self-driven to meet and exceed revenue and goals for our clients
