Job Description

Position Purpose

Provide high level media team leadership within Moxie by applying expertise in all digital media principles to a client’s business. The AMD will serve as the primary steward of client goals and objectives and will work with media planning teams to translate these into actionable items. The AMD is also responsible for ensuring a high level of quality in all final client deliverables. This role is responsible for leading a group of supervisors and planners while fostering integration/communication across all departments and partner Agencies.

 

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Guide and drive media strategies for client account(s) and help to set overall objectives

  • Build, maintain and grow client relationships and client business

  • Develop and maintain media plans and monitor all approvals and client budgets

  • Oversee, author and/or constructively edit and review all media documents (timelines, POVs, RFPs, plans, agreements, client memos, and correspondence from within and outside the agency)

  • Provide and/or guide strategic input for all plans internally and externally

  • Help set negotiation strategies

  • Supervise, Direct and Review the implementation of specified media plans.

  • Managing the scheduling, posting, tracking and compiling of weekly performance reports

  • Perform in-depth target analysis activities including analyzing site information and demographics particular to client needs

  • Maintaining knowledge of Ad operations and applicable web analytics tools

  • Lead media meetings and presentations with clients

  • Insure key information is provided to team in a timely manner including any client issues, internal agency issues, vendor issues, etc.

  • Demonstrate problem solving and intervention when necessary

  • Build and maintain relationships with media publishers and internal agency counterparts

  • Establish and build Moxie client business through managing the initiative of Media relationships

  • Play active role in major media pitches for new business

  • Understanding and actively seeking online media solutions for clients

  • Maintaining knowledge of current online media trends and implications to client business and Moxie

  • Staying apprised of new and emerging technology, creative and programming applications

  • Assist in developing Moxie media team members into highly respected and trusted team members by helping to grow their skill-sets and thought-processes

  • Fostering knowledge-sharing with all team members

  • Motivate, develop, train and help to evaluate team members

  • Review site invoices and work with Accounting and Client Services to ensure accurate payment and prepare campaign reconciliations

  • Accurate and timely reporting of billable and non-billable time for the individual and team members

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

This position also has direct reports; may include Media Supervisor, Media Planner and Asst Media Planner

 

Job Requirements

Will require local travel up to 25%

May require overnight travel up to 10%

 

Education Required

Bachelor’s degree

 

Years of Relevant Experience

6+ years of Digital media planning experience; 3+ years in agency

  • Ability to manage large projects and budgets

  • Ability to successfully manage a team
