This position will work in one of the largest and richest client datasets to uncover key insights that will shape overall communication and customer relationship strategy. This position will bridge the gap between advanced technical knowledge (SQL, Teradata, big data platforms) and business acumen to not only pull data, but also understand and translate it into insight. This is not a DBA position but rather an analyst with technical chops.
A person who is successful in this position is a storyteller with natural curiosity and understand complex data structures while still having a pulse on the business. They will be comfortable telling the stories they uncover to key client stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities include working closely with strategy and experience leads on variety of research and analysis tasks, defining cross-channel/cross-platform solutions, contributing to opportunity sizing and business case development, articulating business and functional requirements, engaging in strategic storytelling to align and inspire a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Leveraging SQL/Teradata, this position will work in the client’s Enterprise Data warehouse to understand key customer behaviors and trends and translate those findings into strategic insights and visualizations using tableau and other visualization tools
Translate data through storytelling and data visualizations to communicate findings
Work closely with team members from various disciplines (CX, Strategy, Account Management, Behavioral Science, Emerging Trends) within the agency and the client to optimize and coordinate campaign strategies
Intermediate/Advanced expertise in SQL and/or Teradata
Intermediate/Advanced expertise of Tableau
Understanding of email and other forms of digital data (e.g. site app etc…)
Advanced business acumen. Being able to translate complex data into strategic insights
Demonstrable knowledge of analytics platforms and other business intelligence tools
- Understanding of database concepts including normalization, and data integrity
Statistical tools (such as R, SPSS, SAS) and techniques e.g. segmentation, response modeling and lifetime value experience a plus
- 2-4+ years of experience working in large datasets extracting insight (digital click stream and/or email data preferred)
Masters/ MBA Preferred
