Job Description

Reporting to: Business Director                                           

Overview of Role

The primary role of the Senior Business Manager is to maintain client leadership and service management through the delivery of the ROI+ vision – the relentless pursuit of marketing-led growth

 Responsibilities:

  • Client Management -  establishes and maintains trusted client relationships at all levels, taking a proactive approach in partnering with clients to deliver key Media KPIs
  • Partner Agency Relationships – Takes an active role in building proactive support and insight for partner agencies
  • Media Owner Relationships – Takes an active role to build trusted media owner relationships
  • Involvement in new business process pitches as requested
  • ROI+ Planning - delivery of innovative and effective campaign planning recommendations
  • ROI+ Implementation  - the management of media implementation across all media including smart ROI+ effectiveness metrics – with support from Digital team

Core Responsibilities

  • Manages client media expectations in partnership with the Business Director, helping to develop & lead team to deliver the highest standard of work and service
  • Proactively anticipate clients’ media requirements with a view to both short term and longer term client needs  
  • Ensures clients are informed on general media industry topics which may affect their business
  • Attend brand planning workshops, client presentations and any other client meetings that require presence from Zenith
  • Manage the preparation of client documentation and financial reconciliation across client business
  • Managing the accurate and timely delivery of media reporting
  • Manages the workflow of the group to ensure that tasks are delivered on time and the team are continually learning
  • Work closely with BD to identity opportunities for diversified services
  • Maintains an active understanding of client profitability and team financial performance and Management

Team Responsibilities

  • Attendance at WIP meetings and other meetings
  • Assist in building partnerships with creative agencies (specifically account service) and media suppliers to ensure key information (e.g. media specs and delivery addresses) is clearly circulated
  • Liaison with Production/Studio at relevant creative agencies to ensure that material is delivered on time and to specification
  • Management of accurate and detailed MBAs/spec sheets/asset sheets as requested
  • Attendance at appropriate training sessions (internal or external)
  • Play an active role in ensuring that unique and effective ideas are developed
  • Manages implementation planning process and execution in liaison with the Investment Team and Performance Digital Team.
  • Harness and deliver the combined intellectual capital of our tools, systems, processes, partnerships and methods to deliver the best possible client outcome
  • Manage staff motivation, output and workloads

Financial Management

  • Ensure that efficient processes and systems are employed to maximise transactional efficiencies - Input into billing system and invoicing
  • Monitor client expenditure versus campaign MBA (or similar approval) sign offs
  • Approve and analyse all client account queries and ensure these are answered within policy guidelines.
  • Brief Investment Team for any major negotiation planning costs
  • Develop strong media owner relationships, to help facilitate maximum value for client business’
  • Negotiate strategic ideas with the media and manage the implementation of deal parameters in conjunction with the investment team
  • Track campaigns from a macro perspective and ensure that all activity is performing against objectives/benchmarks
  • Active management of client revenue forecasts
