Job Description

This position is suitable for a highly motivated, detail-oriented, service-focused individual who will monitor, maintain, and complete key financial and operational functions as well as participate in the reporting processes.  The Analyst position supports our Finance group by assisting with budget, reporting, controls, as well as highlighting key issues and exposing items that may impact profitability. The Financial Analyst will also be involved in process improvement projects and ad hoc reporting in support of business needs. This role will have US, Global, and International exposure.

Responsibilities:
•    Generate, analyze and distribute monthly reporting, providing commentary as appropriate
•    Ability to explain and translate finance reports under tight deadlines
•    Assist with annual budget, monthly forecasts, and ad hoc analyses
•    Review and participate in month-end close and reporting
•    Work with and follow up with other offices on reporting requirements
•    Ability to manipulate data and transform for analytical use in presentations
•    Ensure complete, accurate (footing) and properly formatted documents prior to manager review
•    Show judgment on when to elevate issues/requests and when to resolve independently
•    Suggest process improvements to benefit greater team
•    Initiative, responsibility, and follow through for “owned” work a must
•    Prioritize and streamline tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiencies

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
•    Basic proficiency of MS Office/PowerPoint
•    Intermediate skills and knowledge with Excel (Lookups, Pivot Tables)
•    Familiarity using financial reporting (HFM) and accounting (SAP) systems a plus
•    Understanding of basic accounting concepts (debits/credits, revenue recognition, expense accruals)
•    Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with diverse groups agency-wide
•    Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask 
•    Accountability and flexibility a must
•    Ability to work in a fast paced environment
•    Strong organization and communication skills
•    Positive team player attitude
