Job Description

The Digital Media Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Director in the creation and implementation of display plans and architecture for their brands.  They are responsible for having an in-depth knowledge of the client’s business and its competitors to determine sufficient digital advertising and media needs and to ensure plans are properly executed and delivered.

In addition to managing the work of the Digital Media Associates they supervise, Digital Media Supervisors have day-to-day client contact and work with their counterpart teams (Strategy, Ad Ops, SEM and Analytics teams).  

Specific Responsibilities

·     Create and present digital media plans to clients

·     Ongoing direct client contact for those brands under your specific responsibility

·     Manage digital execution across display, social, native and programmatic

  • Oversee the quality, accuracy and timeliness of Digital Buyers and Assistants’ work

·     Gather and analyze data to determine the client’s advertising and media needs,

·     Manages workload flow among junior associates

·     Analyzes media alternatives and make recommendations as to how to best allocate the advertising budget.

·     Plans typically include analysis and recommendations on targeting, geography, scheduling, support level & budget.

·     Provides guidance to and mentors Digital Media Buyers and Assistants to ensure their successful professional development

  • Provides oversight to accuracy and timeliness of Digital Media Buyers and Assistants’ work.

Qualifications

•    A minimum of 3-4 years of online media planning and negotiating experience in an interactive agency
•    Bachelor’s Degree in advertising, marketing or related program a plus
•    Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
•    A complete knowledge of interactive marketing concepts and practices as well as a familiarity with offline media concepts
•    Strong mathematic and analytical skills
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
•    Experience with 3rd Party Adserver (DFA Certified preferred)
•    Working knowledge of online research tools such as Nielsen, @Plan, AdRelevance and other media software tools
•    The ability to multi-task on numerous accounts, often with minimal direction
•    Experience analyzing complex data, market research, and formulating actionable plans
•    Effective time management and organizational skills, as well as strong attention to detail
•    The ability to work well with a team; function as a leader, and also work independently
