Job Description

The primary focus of this role is to manage the daily running of the designated client teams business and staff, ensuring that the brands responsible for are serviced correctly and innovation is brought to the planning process.

This is a planning and buying role with not only full client portfolio visibility but responsibility for the daily planning, buying and management of designated brands. 

The role actively supports the Business Director, Managing Director and other senior leadership members in the development of the client relationships and in growing existing and attracting new business to Starcom. 

Key responsibilities for the role are:

  • Planning, buying, management and development of all campaigns of designated brands
  • Create and implement innovative strategies to deliver market leading innovation and thought in line with Starcom’s proprietary planning framework HX.
  • Liaise with the Digital Campaign Manager and TV Manager to ensure correct planning and buying of TV / On Demand and SEM.
  • Ensure billing for all designated brands is on time and accurate with all required fees incorporated.
  • Develop and implement buying strategies to ensure media is purchased at market leading rates.
  • Construct and carry out contract negotiations in association with the BD.
  • Create and deliver any required reporting or presentations, client capability builds or analysis.
  • Present reports and presentations to clients or the wider agency team as required.
  • Develop excellent client relationships and trust levels with Brand Manager and Category Directors.
  • Build partnerships with key creative agencies; specifically account service and strategy departments.
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with key media suppliers at a senior level to ensure premium servicing and opportunities are presented to Starcom first

  • Strong working knowledge of TV MAP, Radios
