Job Description

Role:

 

Commerce is a category that is full of innovation and with the pace that the retailer landscape is changing this is an incredibly exciting time to be working in commerce. All brands have different challenges in this space depending on their distribution models, internal structure or consumer behaviours. Our role as media partners is to help brands navigate this complexity and provide incredible consumer experiences that drive genuine commercial growth.

 

Ultimately all activity that our clients deploy should have a positive impact on sales but focus needs to be placed on dissecting consumer journeys, articulating consumer outcomes and planning accordingly. Exactly how much effort and investment should be spent at each stage of the funnel? Brands that sell direct and own the entire sales funnel will be able to deploy more advanced data and performance marketing strategies. However, if you are a brand that sells indirect through retailers what % of your marketing effort and investment should be set aside to close the sale with retailers and how do you ensure this compliments retailer activity?

 

There is currently a real focus within Publicis Groupe to develop a strong commerce proposition which we can take to our existing and prospective clients. There are strong pockets of expertise with the group and the challenge is working through what combination of resource is required to deliver on specific client briefs. We have also formalised and structured our commerce offering into a new practice called Publicis Media Commerce.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

The responsibilities would be across all relevant Zenith Global Clients to support the Commerce Lead to deliver against Commerce roadmaps and help develop the Zenith Commerce offering.

 

We have provided below an initial sample of key responsibilities:

-         Support the Global Commerce Director to develop Commerce solutions for commerce marketplaces and direct to retailer solutions

-         Collaborate with local markets to drive the commerce relationship with clients

-         Develop strategic partnerships with external stakeholders (ie. Amazon, Google, FB, Criteo)

-        Work closely with the relevant commerce stakeholders within Publicis Groupe

-        Work with other internal stakeholders and agencies to help build out a Zenith commerce community

-        Input on POVs of how a brand’s marketing and sales teams should work together

-        Understand the role of shelf and its relationship with eTail media to drive conversion

-        Collect and distribute benchmarks, case studies and best practices throughout the network

-        Manage overall real time retailer data pilots

-        Work closely with Performics to drive integration between performance and commerce activities

-        Provide support on new business opportunities

-        This role will include travelling for local market and client meetings or workshops

 

Key requirements:

 

Experience:

 

-3-5 years’ experience of working in ecommerce marketing or retail online merchandising

-Ideally you will have experience working for an online retailer or working closely with online retailers.

-Direct experience of executing and optimizing sales focused / ROI driven marketing activity.

-You should have broad digital marketing experience that is not limited to performance marketing.

-Strong analytical background with experience of KPI setting and managing activity to regular targets.
